Judicial Affairs is the College office that maintains the campus judicial system.

Judicial Affairs is a learning-focused program that utilizes mediation and educational sanctions to help students learn from there decisions.

Judicial Affairs oversees the operation of the Student Conduct Council. The Council is a group of students, faculty, and staff who make recommendations on the outcome of a student’s judicial case.

Judicial Affairs works closely with campus Residence Life Staff and University Police to ensure a safe, stable learning environment.

Our Mission and Goals

SUNY Delhi strives to create and maintain a judicial system to ensure the community standards as set forth in the Student Code of Conduct. Student responsibility and integrity are at the heart of this educational and growth based process. In addition, the College values student leadership and involvement. Therefore, the Student Conduct Council includes students in the decision making process while holding their peers accountable for the community standards. As a result, student behavior is addressed equitably promoting an educational environment where students can successfully achieve academic goals.

Goals:

  • To address student misconduct
  • To disseminate, interpret, and enforce the Student Code of Conduct
  • To provide learning experiences for students who participate in the judicial process
  • To protect relevant legal rights of students
  • To prepare students for "real world" experiences
  • To treat students in a fair and consistent manner
  • To create a safe, secure, educational environment
