New Human Resource Management Degree at SUNY Delhi

New Human Resource Management Degree at SUNY Delhi Gives Students More Options in Business.

SUNY Delhi has introduced a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management this spring. The new degree takes advantage of SUNY Delhi's long history in business and technology education.

"The BBA in Human Resource Management (HRM) creates HR professionals with the rare capability of combining technology to leverage human ability within the culture and structure of an organization," says Associate Professor Doug Gulotty, a lead instructor in the program. "The program is built on this foundation."

According to Professor Gulotty, employers can expect HRM graduates to have the variety of knowledge of tools, technologies and practices a modern Human Resources Department needs. Graduates will be ready to learn any organization's systems, recognize the tools, and analyze the organizational goals to contribute to the success of the department and the organization.

Employers hiring Delhi's HRM graduates can expect their new employee to be ready to apply modern practices of a Human Resources Department the minute they enter the field.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Outlook Handbook, this field is projected to grow nine percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations," said Dr. David Brower, Dean of the School of Business and Hospitality Management. "New York is listed as the state with the highest employment level for human resource managers."

Candidates completing a SUNY Delhi BBA in Human Resource Management will possess an unparalleled professional motivation according to Professor Gulotty. "The Delhi HRM graduate will be an asset to employers because they will be uniquely equipped to contribute to the success of the organization," he said. "Delhi's graduates will add to the value of any organization's human capital."
