Hands-on Experience

Hands-on experience is the cornerstone of Delhi's academic programs. Bachelor degree programs include extensive internships. Technical programs feature extensive on-the-job experiences as well. It is a proven approach that gets results. More than 95 percent of Delhi students find jobs or continue their education within a year of graduating.

The Applied Sciences & Technology Division offers a wide range of associate and bachelor degree programs in Technology, Golf & Plant Sciences, Natural Resources, Recreation & Sports, and Veterinary Science Technology, which was the first program of its type in the country.  Our outstanding facilities include an 18-hole golf course, surgery and radiography suites, both large and small animal teaching laboratories, and a 50 acre Outdoor Education Park.  Program areas require students to participate in an internship, providing students with hands-on, real-life experience in their area of study.

Our Hospitality Program is considered one of the top hospitality programs in the country.  Our award-winning Culinary Team has received accolades at the state, regional, and national levels.  Our alumni are leaders in hotel and resort management, restaurant management, travel and tourism management and club management.  Many alumni serve on our advisory councils and share their expertise with our students.  The Business Program offers a wide range of one, two and four year programs in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Marketing, Information Technology, Network Administration, & Web Development. 

 

The Liberal Arts and Sciences Division offers more than 10 different degree options, including Criminal Justice Studies, Environmental Studies, and Teacher Education Transfer. Our regionally recognized and nationally accredited Nursing Program offers one-, two-, and four-year options to a select group of students seeking to advance their careers in healthcare. Delhi's outstanding Liberal Arts faculty are prepared to assist students who need a semester or two to choose a direction or who are uncertain about their transfer goals.

The Applied Sciences & Technology Division offers one and two year programs of study in Architecture, Computer Aided Drafting & Design, Construction Technology, Engineering Science and the traditional skilled trades of Automotive Technician, Carpentry, Cabinetmaking & Masonry, Electrical Construction & Controls, Plumbing, Heating & Refrigeration and Welding.   Students in the skilled trades areas have many options in combining one year programs to develop their own program of study.  In addition, the Technology Division offers a four year degree in Architectural Design and Building, along with a concentration in Construction for those students more interested in building than design.
