Academic Advisement News and Notes

Students on Academic Probation must be sure to sign an Academic Probation Contract and adjust their schedule according to the contract guidelines prior to the beginning of classes on Monday, August 30.  See your advisor for these contracts and schedule adjustments.

Students who anticipate on graduating in December of 2010 must see their academic advisor to complete a Petition to Graduate form.  This form must be completed by the student no later than October 15!!!!

Classes begin on Monday, August 30.

The add deadline for :

• a FULL semester course is Friday, September 3.
• an A SESSION course is Tuesday, August 31.
• a  B SESSION course is Thursday, October 21.

The drop deadline for:

• a FULL semester course without a fee is Friday, September 24.
• a FULL semester course with a fee ($20) is Friday, November 5.
• an A SESSION course (no fee) is Friday, September 24.
• a B SESSION course is Thursday, October 21.

(Any student who wishes to WITHDRAW from college may do so until Tuesday, November 23.)

• Fall Break is scheduled for Saturday, October 9 through Tuesday, October 12.
• Thanksgiving Break is scheduled for Wednesday, November 24 through Sunday, November 28.
• Mid-Term grades can be picked up from your advisor beginning on Monday, October 18.
• Students must meet with Academic Advisor to begin developing their Spring 2011 schedules between Monday, November 1 and Monday, November 15.  
• The last day to apply for a tutor is Friday, November 5.
• Finals week is December 13 through 17.
