Bill Chernish has been involved in hospitality management and business education for nearly three decades.  He has been a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, the University of Maryland’s University College and Cornell University.  He earned the rank of Professor Emeritus at the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.  For five years, he was the Cornell Hotel School’s Director of Executive Education. His primary research interest is in human resource management.

In addition to the academic experience he has worked at a policy level of the US Government, has run his own successful business and shared in a successful bar and restaurant in Washington.  He lives on a farm in Newfield, NY with his wife and Golden Retriever.  His daughter graduated from the University of Chicago and has begun her career with an advertising agency in Los Angeles.
