Stephen Calabrese has an extensive foundation in business and industry as a Manufacturing Chemist/Manager, Software Engineer, and Entrepreneur – Restaurateur for 25+ years.  His most recent career in academia has expanded over the past 10 years teaching, tutoring, and assisting students with their careers. He has taught online and in-seat in the areas of College Algebra, Statistics, Business Math, Linear Algebra, Computer Information Systems, and many additional areas in Business & Technology such as Computer Programming, Computer Logic, and Discrete Mathematics, Finance, and Economics. Currently as the Delhi Partnership Coordinator/Assistant Professor for Tomkins-Cortland Community College, and Onondaga Community College he packages his past knowledge and education to pursue his passion and continues to assist students with their goals and aspirations while studying with SUNY Delhi.

He holds a B.S. from Utica College of Syracuse University in Chemistry, a B.S. from SUNY Empire State College in Computer Information Systems, and an M.S. degree from SUNY Institute of Technology in Business Management & Quantitative Methods.

 

William N. Chernish, BSME, MBA, PhD
Assistant Professor 

Bill Chernish has been involved in hospitality management and business education for nearly three decades.  He has been a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, the University of Maryland’s University College and Cornell University.  He earned the rank of Professor Emeritus at the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.  For five years, he was the Cornell Hotel School’s Director of Executive Education. His primary research interest is in human resource management.

In addition to the academic experience he has worked at a policy level of the US Government, has run his own successful business and shared in a successful bar and restaurant in Washington.  He lives on a farm in Newfield, NY with his wife and Golden Retriever.  His daughter graduated from the University of Chicago and has begun her career with an advertising agency in Los Angeles.
