Classes are identical in content and level to those offered during the regular semester, except that the schedule is accelerated to meet the needs of focused, mature students with busy lives.

Degree Requirements: 72 credit hours, a grade of 75% or better in each Nursing course, a grade of 70% or better in all other required courses, and a Pass in all clinical courses.

Admission Requirements:

1. Must be an LPN for a minimum of three (3) years.
2. Must have a minimum of one (1) year full-time acute care work experience, or a total of 2000 hours.
3. The following prerequisites must be completed prior to the first semester of Weekend College:
   • Human Anatomy and Physiology I - 4 credits
   • Human Anatomy and Physiology II - 4 credits
   • Freshman English - 3 credits
   • Introductory Psychology I - 3 credits

4. The SUNY Delhi Nursing program challenge exam must be taken prior to the start of the first semester of the program. This is a requirement for all LPNs that do not have the equivalent of college credit for the first year of our Nursing program. Passing this exam will award 22 college credit hours to the student. It is necessary to pass this exam in order to be accepted into the Weekend College program. This is a competitive exam with two parts, and students with the highest scores will have priority for placement in the weekend option. Students can transfer 30 credits to SUNY Delhi provided courses are equivalent to SUNY Delhi courses and they have achieved a 75% in all nursing courses or a 70% or better in all other courses. The remainder of the degree requirement credit hours must be earned through SUNY Delhi.

In addition to the weekend nursing courses offered through this option, the following courses are required to complete the A.A.S. degree in Nursing and to take the NCLEX-RN licensure exam:
