SUNY Delhi has taken the lead in addressing the national concern for student preparedness through the Tech Prep program. Tech Prep has been established to meet the demands of the workplace for highly skilled, adaptable employees. Additionally, Tech Prep is designed to strengthen the academic and technical skills of secondary-school students so that they will be fully prepared to succeed in college-level technology studies. This particular feature focuses on helping students build a solid foundation in mathematics, science, and communication skills.
Tech Prep is typically a four-year program of study: two years of high school, which transfers smoothly to a two-year-college associate's degree program. Input from college and high school faculty as well as business and industry representatives has been critical in identifying what successful students should know and be able to do upon graduation.
An important feature of the Tech Prep project is the articulation program whereby secondary students earn college credits during their high school studies. The following is a list of the SUNY Delhi programs offering articulated courses.
