The Field
Computer aided drafting and design (CADD) is a vital part of every field where design activities occur and where technical drawings are required. CADD has revolutionized industry's methods of doing design work and producing technical documentation.
The Instructional Program
The one-year certificate in CAD Electronic consists of the second-year courses from the two-year Associate in Occupational Studies (A.O.S.) degree program in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. This is a specialty certificate available only to individuals who, through employment in the field or prior equivalent education and training, have gained experience and knowledge equivalent to the first year of the CADD A.O.S. degree program. It is a two-semester program that begins each fall.
An individual who completes the CAD Electronic program does not automatically receive credits for the first-year CAD Mechanical courses and does not receive an associate degree. If an individual has articulated or transfer courses from another institution, they may be applied towards the first-year course requirements of the associate degree program in CADD.
For further information, contact the SUNY Delhi Enrollment Services Office.
