SUNY Delhi's Honors Program is designed to offer opportunities for students seeking a greater academic challenge and recognition of their scholastic efforts. Through special courses, the Honors Program enables students to identify their intellectual interests and to pursue them in depth. To help students reach their potential as honors scholars, the program aims to:
Students with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 are eligible to apply. Honors Program scholars must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 until graduation.
Associate degree students must successfully complete a minimum of seven credits of honors work over at least three semesters. Six of these credits must be earned through honors courses, and any remaining credit(s) may be earned through honors independent study courses.
Bachelor degree students must successfully complete a minimum of twelve credits of honors work over at least three academic years. Nine of these credits must be earned through honors courses, and any remaining credits may be earned through honors independent study courses.
Upon successful completion of the program, Honors Program scholars will be recognized at graduation and will have their participation in the Honors Program designated on their transcript.
Presidential Scholars Program
SUNY Delhi's Presidential Scholars Program recognizes the achievement of local students and assists them in pursuing their college education. This honors program ensures that a limited number of students from Delaware and Otsego counties, who have strong academic credentials, may attend the College tuition free.*
The College solicits nominations for the Presidential Scholars Program from high school superintendents within Otsego and Delaware counties. These nominations are based on the criteria set for the program. Eligible students must rank in the top 20 percent of their graduating class, must earn a Regents diploma with a minimum average of 90 percent, and must submit a 350- to 500-word essay highlighting their extracurricular achievements.
The Presidential Scholars Program is designed for students seeking a greater academic challenge given their ability and personal motivation. Qualified students are challenged through specially-designed honors courses that offer an enriched seminar-style learning environment, and that emphasize critical thinking and independent research.
Students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3, and must take an honors seminar each semester in order to continue receiving the scholarship.

Partnership for Nursing Opportunities
SUNY Delhi, Hartwick College, and Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown have joined forces to provide attractive and affordable paths to both associate and baccalaureate degrees in nursing, as well as employment with a major regional healthcare provider. The program is sequential and begins with entrance in the A.A.S. program in Nursing at Delhi. After completing the first year of study, attaining a certificate in practical nursing, and passing the LPN exam, a student is eligible for employment at Bassett Healthcare. The student can then work full-time and continue on through a specially-designed educational program leading first to an associate degree in nursing from Delhi, and then to a bachelor degree in nursing from Hartwick College. Online RN-to-BSN Program
The RN-to-BSN program at SUNY Delhi provides educational mobility for registered nurses who are seeking a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The RN-to-BSN curriculum is designed with the working registered nurse in mind, and offers versatility and flexibility as the program is totally online. Precepted clinical experiences for select courses are completed in the student's hometown area. The objectives of the program emphasize critical thinking and practice skills necessary for clinical management of patients within a constantly changing healthcare environment. A total of 120 credits is required to earn a BSN at SUNY Delhi; however, the length of the program varies depending on equivalent prerequisite courses completed. Opportunities for full- and part-time study are available to allow students to proceed at their own pace. Online B.B.A. in Veterinary Technology Management
This four-year degree program is designed for licensed veterinary technicians who have been awarded a two-year degree in veterinary t,echnology from an AVMA-accredited college and who wish to continue working while completing their degree. The curriculum, including ten courses tailored to the business aspects of animal medicine, offers students the opportunity to prepare for new employment or career advancement in a variety of veterinary fields; and its online delivery offers versatility and flexibility for working technicians.
