AAS Degree - Option 42

The Associate of Applied Science in Restaurant and Foodservice Management is an exciting program at SUNY Delhi. Geared toward training of front line restaurant managers, this degree offers hands-on instruction in a realistic setting. Students learn the essential skills necessary for day-to-day operations of various types of foodservice venues in state-of-the-art facilities. These skills include food production and management, food and beverage cost controls, human resources, menu planning, marketing, and human resources.

A strong business emphasis is reinforced by technical knowledge resulting in our students entering the workforce as well-rounded, versatile managers. Students are able to customize their education by selecting from a wide array of electives, in addition to required coursework, including instruction in the areas of beverage and beverage control, history of wines, and culinary arts. The capstone to this degree is the operation of Signatures, our student run restaurant, here on campus. This degree offers excellent versatility; well preparing our students for entry into the workforce or furthering their education.
