Mechatronics Design

Two-Year Associate in Applied Science (AAS) or Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) Degree

Mechatronics is innovative automation – be a frontrunner!

Mechatronics designers turn the ideas of inventors and engineers into technical plans for production. A combination of electronics, parametric design, welding, and more, our cutting-edge program prepares you to step directly into high-paying jobs working on robotic systems and intelligent equipment in a variety of industries. The first of its kind in New York State, our Mechatronics Design degree truly sets you up for success.

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree prepares you for the potential of a bachelor’s degree. You’ll take mechatronics classes along with electives and general education courses that count towards our four-year degree in Mechatronics Technology (BT).

The Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree provides extensive lab instruction to prepare you to enter directly into the workforce after graduation.

If you love figuring out how things work, this program is for you! You’ll gain universal technical and industrial skills through a comprehensive approach to automation. Master it all from design to fabrication, testing to implementation, and troubleshooting to maintenance.

The Delhi Difference

  • 100% of our graduates secure jobs in the industry, and many graduate with multiple job offers on the table.
  • As the first Mechatronics Design program in New York State, we are the frontrunners of this high-demand field.
  • We offer a 3:1 ratio of hands-on lab instruction to lecture hours to ensure you get the experience you need.
  • Our enthusiastic, award-winning faculty are experts in engineering, welding, electrical generation, machining, and facilities systems.
  • Our labs have the latest industry-standard design software (such as Siemens Solid Edge PLM and Autodesk AutoCAD) and automation technology (such as Rockwell Automation’s Allen-Bradley systems and the Siemens S7 processors with TIAPortal software).
  • Enjoy opportunities to work on design concepts for potential patents and drawings for actual manufacturing purposes.
  • Take advantage of internship and employment networking opportunities.
  • According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, mechatronics technologists and technicians earn a mean annual wage of over $60,000.
