FINANCIAL INFORMATION FOR 2016-2017 ACADEMIC YEAR

Adjusted fees will be published to the college website upon approval.

Accepted Student Deposit (Mandatory to secure admission) - Deposits are not required to be submitted until May 1, however, payment of this deposit secures admission into the desired major. All incoming students must pay the deposit. Visit www.delhi.edu to view payment options.

  • The deposit is $150: $50 to hold a space in your major, $100 to reserve a space in the residence halls.
  • Many programs are limited to a specific number of incoming students due to lab space, equipment, etc.
  • The deposit is fully refundable until May 1.

Financial Obligations of Students

Tuition bills for each semester are emailed prior to Orientation. All charges are due and payable in full to the "State University of New York at Delhi" by the due date of the bill or prior to the start of classes, whichever comes first. A student will not receive grades, transcripts, or any official recognition for work completed until all bills due the college have been paid.

Description of Tuition and Fees

Tuition:

  • In-State Tuition - Cost of college courses for qualified NYS residents only.
  • Out-of-State Tuition, Associate's Degree - Cost of college courses for out-of-state residents in an Associate's Degree program.
  • Out-of-State Tuition, Bachelor's Degree - Cost of college courses for out-of-state residents enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program.

Comprehensive Student Fee - charged to all students and consists of the following:

  • College fee - (mandatory) Fee required by all State operated campuses.
  • Athletic Fee - (mandatory) Supports all athletic programs, facilities and equipment and is open to all students.
  • Health Services Fee - (mandatory) Fee that covers the cost of the health center. Students are able to use the health center services for minor illnesses and the fee also offers counseling services.
  • Orientation Fee: Students beginning in fall attending fall orientation - $90; Students beginning in spring attending spring Orientation - $30.
  • Technology Fee - (mandatory) Supports the computer center and facilitates the continued improvement of computer systems and services such as email, classroom technology, technical help, and wireless connections.
  • Student Activity Fee - (mandatory) Supports a wide range of cultural and educational programs as well as student entertainment, including weekend movies, comedians, bands, and more.
  • Transcript Fee - (mandatory) Covers the cost of all transcript requests present and future.
  • Transportation Fee - (mandatory) Supports costs for transportation both on and off-campus, including the Bronco Bus and academic vans.
  • Alumni Fee - (optional) This $35 donation to the Alumni Association is charged to full-time students only (12 credits or more per semester). It provides students with a lifetime membership into the Alumni Association, which includes invitations to reunions and class trips, a free subscription to Delhi's official magazine Delhi Horizons, lifetime use of the Resnick Library (excluding access to electronic resources), as well as other benefits.
  • Fitness Fee - (optional) Provides unlimited use of the campus fitness center.

Additional Academic Course Fees - Charged to cover the cost of laboratory supplies and materials, other than textbooks, that students will need for the courses listed below.

Miscellaneous Fees and Fines:

  • Administrative/Late Fee: Accounts with outstanding balances past the balance due date may be assessed a monthly $30 administrative/late fee.
  • Athletic Health Insurance Fee: (mandatory) $70. The Department of Athletics carries an accident policy for student athletes. Student athletes will be charged to participate in this policy. Should a student athlete participate on more than one athletic team during the academic year, the student will only be billed once.
  • Commencement Fee: (optional) $30 is charged to students in the semester they are slated to graduate. This fee is voluntary and can be waived within the first two weeks of classes.
  • Course Drop Fee: $20 will be charged for each full-semester course dropped after the fourth week of classes.
  • Graduate Application Fee: (mandatory) $75 charged to students applying for a graduate degree program.
  • International Student Fee: $250 charged to provide support for American cultural experiences to fall incoming international students who arrive on campus the week before the semester begins for orientation. Costs include transportation, activity fees, and meals at local restaurants and on day trips. In addition, any cost for volunteer service materials during the academic year, such as origami paper or books for presentations to local venues, is included. The fee will be included on the student's fall semester bill. It is a one-time charge.
  • Late Registration Fee: Students who register after the first day of classes will be charged a $40 late-registration fee.
  • Laundry Fee: (mandatory) $40 is assessed to all students living on campus in the Residence Halls, excluding Riverview.
  • Print Fee - (optional) Allows students access to print to campus-owned public printers from campus-owned computers and student-owned computers; managed through each student's campus ID card.
  • Returned Payment Charge: $20 will be assessed for any check returned or redeposited.
  • Social Fee: $20 (optional) is assessed to all students living in the residence halls. This fee is used to support individual residence hall social programming and activities such as BBQ's, parties, movies, shopping trips and contests, etc. Students who elect to pay the fee will be given the opportunity to participate in these activities. This fee can be waived through Student Financial Services.

MEAL PLAN RATES FOR FALL 2016-SPRING 2017*

ON-CAMPUS STUDENTS must purchase a dining plan each semester, and will automatically be billed for the 19 Meal Plan. If the 19 Meal Plan is not your plan of choice, you must change your meal plan at www.delhi.edu/reslife. Click the Student Housing Management Access button on the right and follow the directions from there. You only have the first 10 days of classes to make this change.

OFF-CAMPUS AND RIVERVIEW students may also purchase any dining plan offered. Dining plans are not automatically on your bill. You can add them by clicking on the Student Housing Management Access button.

Triple Rooms - Students may end up in a Tripled Room. Students who are tripled will be billed the Double Room rate above. Students will receive the following credits to their student account if they are still tripled by:

  • Castle Branch Check: $65
  • Based on site requirements, some students may require a 10-panel drug screen at an additional cost of $40.

REFUNDS AND REFUND POLICIES

Students may leave college at any time and for any reason. Students withdrawing from college must obtain an Application for Withdrawal form from Counseling and Health Services and obtain clearance from each of the offices listed on the form.

Special Note to Students with Federal Student Loans and Grants: Federal regulations state that a student is eligible to receive aid based upon the amount of time in school. If you withdraw prior to the end of the semester you may not be allowed to keep all of your federal student aid, which may create a liability due to the school. Any refunds of financial aid you received may need to be returned to the school. Please contact Student Financial Services if you are considering withdrawing to see how this may affect you.

When a student withdraws from college or drops individual classes, the student incurs the following liability based on the date of withdrawal:

Meal Plan Refunds

Meal Plan refunds are based on the pro-rata value of time remaining under the meal plan OR the amount of money remaining resulting from usage, whichever is less, up to and including the 10th week of scheduled classes. No refunds for meal plans will be given after the 10th week of classes. Student ID cards must be returned to CADI upon withdrawal. If the ID card is not returned, the cost of the ID card will be deducted from any refund.

Academic and Disciplinary Dismissals Policy

Any student who is dismissed for academic or disciplinary reasons prior to the end of an academic term shall be liable for all tuition, fees, and room and board charges for that term.

Removal from College Residence Hall Policy

Any student who is removed from a college residence hall for disciplinary reasons will be liable for all room charges for that semester.
