College Catalog Fall 2016 - Spring 2017
SUNY Delhi offers honors programs meant to provide high-achieving students opportunities to:
- challenge themselves intellectually
- engage in stimulating inquiry while working closely and creating mentoring relationships with faculty members
- gain recognition from the college as well as potential employers and transfer institutions.
SUNY Delhi currently has three honors programs:
- Associate's Degree Honors Program open to all students in an associate's degree program with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Bachelor's Degree Honors Program open to all students in a bachelor's degree program with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Presidential Scholar Program open to all new incoming students at SUNY Delhi.
Honors courses have limited enrollment to guarantee quality interactions between students and professors, and provide in-depth considerations of a wide range of challenging topics.
The Honors Program designation on a student's transcript reinforces to potential employers or transfer institutions that the student has not only maintained a high GPA, but has done so while taking particularly rigorous courses.
Dedicated funds are available for competitive Honors Program scholarships. Students can apply for scholarships after they have completed a minimum of one semester enrolled in SUNY Delhi's Honors Program.
Applications, forms, and further information for these programs may be found at www.delhi.edu.
