Admission Requirements

Requirements for admission into the MSN Program

  • Graduate from an ACEN or CCNE accredited baccalaureate in Nursing program
  • A descriptive statistics course with a grade of C or better within 10 years
  • An undergraduate GPA of 3.0
  • A current unencumbered license to practice as a registered professional nurse
  • Two satisfactory academic or professional references attesting to the applicant's potential for graduate study
  • Personal statement/essay of approximately 750-1,000 words addressing how graduate education correlates with your career plans and will advance your professional growth
  • Resume or curriculum vitae

Recommended for admission into the MSN Program

  • Computer literacy skills
  • Proficiency in technical standards for admission and progression
  • One year of full-time employment is strongly encouraged prior to beginning program of study

SUNY Delhi's School of Nursing uses Castle Branch to manage practicum requirements of the program (health, background check, CPR, immunizations, etc.). All students accepted into SUNY Delhi's MSN program will be required to create a profile and complete a background check at the time of acceptance.

Cost

  • Document Manager one-time fee of: $35
  • Castle Branch Check: $65
  • Based on site requirements, some students may require a 10 panel drug screen at an additional cost of $40
  • If you already have a recent Certified background check and drug screening you can upload those under your documents manager
