Catherine Amitrano, MSN, RNC-NIC, CLCP
Professor Amitrano obtained her AAS, BSN and MSN degrees from The Sage Colleges (formerly known as The Junior College of Albany and Russell Sage College) in Troy, NY. She is currently working on her DHA in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has been a Registered Nurse for 28 years, with 20 of those serving as an Air Force Officer in the Nurse Corps, where she retired as a Lt Colonel. She has held various nursing leadership positions both in and out of the military. Her clinical specialties were primarily in Neonatal Nursing and Pediatrics, and she has directed Education and Training, and Quality divisions. Prior to her current position in Patient Safety and Program Management, Ms. Amitrano was the Director of Neonatal Services, and has been an Interim Chief Nurse.
