Professor Eck joined SUNY Delhi in 2010. Before that, she was an instructor at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC for over 10 years, where she remains a guest lecturer.

Professor Eck brings a wealth of experience to her teaching, with over 15 years in obstetrical and high risk antepartum nursing, 12 years as a nurse educator, and 5 years as a pyschiatric nurse. She created the South Carolina Sexual Assault Protocol Task Force - and serves as its committee chair, where she is currently developing a statewide protocol guideline for multi-disciplinary sexual assault care. Professor Eck was the first state-wide Forensic Nurse Examiner Coordinator for SC, and has collaborated with the SC State Board of Nursing to have forensic nursing listed as a speciality on the licensure renewal form, is a guest lecturer for Carolina Forensic Nurse Consultants, as well as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.

Professor Eck earned a BA in Psychology from Western Connecticut State University, a BSN from the University of South Carolina, and an MSN from Duke University. She is also

She has been a member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN)and the SC Chapter of IAFN for 3 years, and serves her community as a Girls Scout Leader for the Girls Scouts USA for the past 7 years.
