Calendar Options

Discussion on how options impact internships and full-time summer employment may decrease a student’s competitive edge
Discussion on graduation on a holiday weekend and families traveling at that time
Discussion on how options impact summer school and how classes may overlap with the fall semester
Discussion on the five week break being too long; option 2 corrects this
Discussion on how late start can create issues with athletics
Discussion on the need for consistency with the calendar

Motioned, Seconded and Approved	CC11-33	March 6	Applied Science & Technology	The proposal to add a new course ASFM 280 Athletic/Sports Field Management Professional Work Experience 2 as a cross listed course with GMBA 280 Professional Work Experience I was approved with the following changes; change the name to ASFM 280 Professional Work Experience I, the Carnegie units to 1:0,40 and on the course grid change ASFM 181 Internship Prep back to TURF 181 Internship Prep and ASFM 182 Summer Internship back to TURF 182 Summer Internship.

	CC11-37	March 6	Applied Science & Technology	Proposal to add a new course ASFM 380 Athletic/Sports Field Management Professional Work Experience 3 as a cross listed course with GMBA 380 Professional Work Experience 2 was approved with the following changes, change the name to ASFM 380 Professional Work Experience II, the Carnegie units to 1:0,40, on the prerequisites add ASFM 280 or GMBA 280, add that also to the courses description, and on the course grid change ASFM 181 Internship Prep back to TURF 181 Internship Prep and ASFM 182 Summer Internship back to TURF 182 Summer Internship.
	CC11-38	March 6	Applied Science & Technology	Proposal to add a new course ASFM 400 Senior Seminar: Special Topics and Trends in Athletic Field Management as a cross listed course with GMBA 400 Senior Seminar: Trends in Golf Course Management was approved with the following changes on the course syllabi take off the one under hours, and on the course grid change ASFM 181 Internship Prep back to TURF 181 Internship Prep and ASFM 182 Summer Internship back to TURF 182 Summer Internship.
Motioned, Seconded and Approved with the correction of the Carnegie units to 12:0,40	CC11-39	March 6	Applied Science & Technology	Proposal to add a new course ASFM 450 Athletic/Sports Management Final Internship as a cross listed course with GMBA 450 Final Internship was approved with the following changes, change the name to ASFM 450 Final Internship, the Carnegie units to 1:0,40 and on the course grid change ASFM 181 Internship Prep back to TURF 181 Internship Prep and ASFM 182 Summer Internship back to TURF 182 Summer Internship.

Resolution in support of College Council Resolution re: Shared Services postponed until the next meeting

Elections Update

Notice distributed through Delhi Today; nominations until 3/24
Separate ballots to be used for UUP represented faculty and staff; voting to close by the end of Spring Break

Senate Scholarships - $500 to a student in each division that demonstrates Overall Excellence.

Student will complete at least 24 credit hours at SUNY Delhi by the end of the Spring semester in which they are nominated for the award.
Student must be returning to SUNY Delhi for the following academic year.
Student will have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 by the end of the semester prior to the semester in which they are nominated.
Student will come highly recommended by faculty, as demonstrated by written recommendation included in the nomination to the College Senate.
Each division shall nominate up to three students for this award by April 15th, at which time the College Senate will choose one recipient from each division and thereby notify the Foundation office by the end of the College Senate session in June.
Nominations due by April 15^th
Need volunteers from Senate to choose if more than one nominee is chosen in a division; 1 to 3 nominations per division

Old Business

Staff Senate Committee for Term and Permanent Appointment – postponed until after Faculty process is finalized.

Continuing and Term Appointment committee concerns (online submission, evaluation, others as verbally presented)

Human Resources is working on online submission process with Promotion committee, and investigating options of various available software platforms.
Other concerns are in information-gathering phase. Concerns and suggestions should be submitted in written form to the Presider, to alleviate any possibility of misinterpretation. Very detailed submission was received by the online Nursing Faculty.
Broad-based Campus-wide committee is currently forming with Provost Nader’s assistance in assessment of off-site programs.
