President’s Report
Continue to work on smart growth
SUNY—considering rationale tuition plan
o Currently has Senate and Assembly sponsorship
o Legislative agreement to better support goals of SUNY
Renovation of Sanford Hall to begin in summer of 2012
o Offering a professional development workshop to see the plans
SUNY college Presidents have a consensus on making recommendations about mid-year cuts; have been forwarded to SUNY
o Ongoing discussion regarding state SUNY hospitals and their shortfalls

• Chancellor used the phrase “systemness” meaning integrating the system together; one big system that is not broken up
o May not be helpful to SUNY Delhi—lumped together and may lose our uniqueness
o Differential tuition can cause difficulties with accessibility
o Buffalo 20/20 – separate itself from SUNY in regard to tuition

Old Business

Section 2. General Duties and Responsibilities of Committees
A. Committees will deliberate upon and frame specific recommendations upon issues assigned by the executive Committee and/or perform other duties specific to their mission.
B. All committee reports will be presented to the executive committee in a timely manner. Only the general status will be given for those reports containing confidential material.
Section 3. General Duties and Responsibilities of committee Chairs
A. Committee chairs are responsible for leading their committees, conducting committee meetings, ensuring that their committees are fully staffed and functioning effectively, and for reporting interim and final findings to the Senate." Frequency and time of reporting out to the Senate shall be determined jointly by committee chairs and the Senate Executive committee and agreed upon prior to the first Senate meeting of the academic year.
B. Committee chairs will attend the Senate meetings to answer questions pertaining to committee business when such business comes before the Senate.

• Postponed until further notice. Campus-wide discussion pertaining to service of MC staff
