Curriculum Committee

Motion: J. Tessier; Seconded: K. MacLeod; Approved	CC09-30	April 6	Liberal Arts & Science	The proposal to teach COMM 300 Organizational Communications in online format was approved.
Motion: T. Philion; Seconded: J. Burgess; Approved	CC09-31	April 6	Technology	The proposal to add a new course OSHA 30 – Construction Safety was approved with changing the alpha numeric to TECH at a one hundred level and adding the restriction of college 33.
Motion: J. Tessier; Seconded: T. Philion; Approved	CC09-32	April 6	Technology	The proposal to replace WELD 100 with an elective in the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Certificate was approved.
	CC09-33	April 6	Technology	The proposal to replace WELD 100 with an elective in the HVAC AAS degree was approved.
	CC09-34	April 6	Technology	The proposal to replace WELD 100 with an elective in the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and Electrical Construction AOS Degree was approved.
	CC09-35	April 6	Technology	The proposal to replace WELD 100 with an elective in the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and Electrical Instrumentation AOS Degree was approved.
	CC09-36	April 6	Technology	The proposal to replace WELD 100 with an elective in the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and Plumbing & Heating AOS Degree was approved.
Motion: A. Rhodes; Seconded: J. Burgess; Approved	CC09-37	April 6	Business & Hospitality	The proposal to change the required courses for the BBA in Information Technology Management was approved.
Motion: J. Tessier; Seconded: T. Hamblin; Approved	CC09-38	April 6	Business & Hospitality	The proposal to add a new degree in Business & Technology Management was approved.

Campus Internal Control Program

C. Bishop and L. Mongillo provided information on the annual review and training that is available online. Pamphlets were distributed

Academic Calendar

No comments were received; ask your functional area for comments; discussion on the date for withdrawl from college (fall at Thanksgiving & spring at the 13^th week)

Senate Scholarship

Four winners were chosen and announced: Subhash Modasra, Joseph Zinna, Geoffrey Greene, and Kirsten Ballowe.

TAG

Meeting to be held on April 28, 2010. Continued communication and liaison for all shareholders is the goal.

Senate Elections

Ballot is available. Hope to have results for next meeting.
In the fall, need to consider a special election to fill any gaps.
Discussion on the need for a parliamentarian; Associate Presider and two elected members should fill this role.

Common Hour

T. Hamblin and J. Tessier are working on a response to the President.

UFS

UFS report available; discussion on the budget and the potential for layoffs; not specific about campuses.
