Liberal Arts & Sciences

The proposal to add a new course HIST 325 The American Century for the classroom and online instruction was approved. This course will be sent to SUNY for General Education approval.

Teach ECMT 180 in online format (tabled until December)

Campus Common Hour

Important to receive feedback from the faculty and staff on their perspective of having a common hour
Presider has looked at other colleges and their common hour; has found that many of them have their common hour around noon time on Tuesday and Thursdays.
Looked at an example of a campus calendar that showcases all the events on campus—could be used in conjunction with a common hour to help foster a sense of community and support internal communication

Committee Reporting

K.MacLeod—a record of reporting is needed for each Senate Committee; should present to the Senate in an ongoing fashion what they are working on.
