Alumni

This page is intended to be a point of contact between the current Architectural Technology faculty members and our graduates of past years. We would like to post information on this page concerning our graduates, and what they are now doing. If you are a graduate we would love to hear from you. E-mail us with your year of graduation and a little about your employment and education experiences since leaving Delhi. We will post it on this site using only your first name for identification. You can e-mail information to Hans Herrmann, Architecture Department.

From David Acomb, AIA

Dear Mr. Johnson / Mr. Addison:
It is with great pleasure that I send this correspondence. I am a proud 1979 alumni of the Architectural Technology program learning under the watchful eyes and iron drafting fist of Robert Hildebrand. The fundamentals I learned from that wonderful comprehensive program were the start of a very rewarding architectural career and still guide me today.
Over the years I have touted the value of graduates from programs such as Delhi's to various employers and even provided links to the University's Career Service web page. Unfortunately some of the firms were committed to only graduate architects and I found these new employees to be severely lacking in production skills and a cognitive understanding of building systems and construction.

In 2006, I joined a close friend as a partner in a small but growing architectural firm and have opened a second office in Cincinnati, Ohio where I have resided since 1979. I now have the control and opportunity to look for employees that I feel have the fundamentals and attitude for professional growth in the field of architecture and construction. Please post my information for employment opportunities and feel free to use me as a resource for professional development or curriculum development. I am excited to see how the college has grown and expanded academically and I wish you much success in department's future endeavors.

Respectfully,
David Acomb
