Hi Mr.
Harrington,
What
has been going on way up there in Delhi. It is Craig M. (Class of
2000) and I am currently living in sunny beautiful Southampton Long
Island. I work for a construction management/ gc firm doing
residential and commercial construction. I am an assistant project
manager making really good money and benefits. All those estimates
and schedules you taught us are sure coming in handy now. I
estimate, plan, mobilize, schedule and oversee job production. I
also do the occasional shopdrawing if necessary. My first job is a
$150,000 renovation to an exhisting house and I just finished an
estimate for another renovation to a 9000 sq ft house. I really
love what I am doing and would like to thank you for helping to
prepare me for the job I am doing now because I am having so much
fun. Our company is worth about 60 million and just recently added
a 32 million dollar school renovation to our list of jobs. I hope
all is well with the family.............

Professor Harrington
I was
surfing today and took a look at the web page for Construction
Technology. It looks great. If I get a chance, I'll write something
for the Alumni section. Do you know if anyone from Delhi is going
to ACCE in Scottsdale, AZ in Feb???

Professor Harrington
:
My name
is Kieran P. McQ. and I graduated Delhi in 1979 from the building
construction program. Since then I finished my degree in building
construction at the University of Memphis, Memphis Tn. I now
reside, with my family, in Waco, Texas. I've been in Texas since
1982 working on commercial construction projects in a variety of
responsibilities. Currently I am employed with Waco Construction as
Vice President of Estimating / Construction Administration. We are
a medium sized design build general contractor with an annual
volume of $25-30MM.Our capabilities and resources are vast and
wide. You can review our website at wcitexas.com. Although we've
never met, I wanted to drop you a note so that you can let the
current students know that their careers in this industry are only
limited by their imaginations. There are great opportunities for
those who wish to give it that little extra effort. I was not the
greatest of students while at Delhi but I've since come to
appreciate the quality of education and information which I
experienced while there.
Best wishes!

Hello
Mr. Harrington , I decided to check out the Delhi web page , to see
if any of my teachers were still around , and was happy to see a
few of you still are !
I don't know if you'll remember me or not , you've had a lot
of students over the years . My name is Paul Halloran , I graduated
from your Carpentry 2 program in 1986 . Along with my fellow room
mate Joe Heptig .
You'd may like to hear that this student of yours has been in
construction ever since . After graduation , I spent 5 years ,
working for residential contractors in upstate N.Y. Then I heard
that carpenters were needed in Alaska . So I flew to Kodiak Island
, Aug. of 1991 and , the very next day I was building houseing
units on the Coast Guard base . I was soon made foreman of the
truss and rafter crew . I spent 2 years building those units , then
flew out to unalaska island , to build a big city hall . I have
since worked all over the state of Alaska , for a couple of
commercial construction companies , doing some great projects .
The last six years I have been working for a fast growing
company out of Anchorage , called Criterion General Inc. A couple
of years ago, they made me a project superintendent . I am
currently building a new 20,000 sq.ft. Mckinley Chalet lodge in
Denali national park . 250 miles north of Anchorage . At the moment
, I have 16 carpenters and laborer's . This job will end mid June .
If we quit getting the big earthquakes we' ve had lately , we'll
get it done just fine . winter has been very mild , a major plus in
this part of Alaska .
Well Richard , take care ; good to see your still there ,
you're a great teacher . I brag about the Delhi carpentry program
when ever I can . I see that Bill Moyse and John Taylor are still
there also . tell them a student from 86 says hello .
Happy holiday's , Paul Halloran , Big lake ; Alaska
P.S. If you have any good , go get-um' carpenters , Alaska
could use them , lots of work up here . :)
