Veterinary Technology Management - On Campus B.B.A

On Campus Program

This program is designed to provide students with the management skills required to become leaders in the field of veterinary science. The curriculum, including ten courses tailored to the business aspect of animal medicine, offers students the opportunity to prepare for employment or career advancement in a variety of veterinary related fields including veterinary hospital management, academia, pharmaceutical and biomedical research. 

Admissions Requirements:

1. Completion of an AVMA-accredited program of veterinary technology with a minimum grade  point average of C (72%) or better and status as a licensed veterinary technician; or be license eligible (qualified to sit for the VTNE); or be a certified Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) with an associates degree; or a certified Surgical Research Technician (SRT) with an associates degree.

2. Completion of the prerequisites for higher level Business Management, Liberal Arts and Veterinary Technology Management courses.  These courses include:

Accounting 3 credit hours
Marketing 3 credit hours
Microeconomics/Macroeconomics 3 credit hours

The following courses are recommended and should be completed prior to admission in the Veterinary Technology Management Program:
 
Public Speaking 3 credit hours - fulfills GE group 10 requirement 
Psychology 3 credit hours - fulfills GE group 3 requirement
Computer Applications 3 credit hours

3.  An overall GPA of C (2.00 on a 4.00 scale) or higher in an associates degree program is required for transfer.

4.  Completion of an on-campus interview and discussion of the program.
