Where is SUNY Delhi? top
SUNY Delhi is located in Delaware County NY in the scenic foothills of the Catskill Mountains. We are a one and a half hour drive from Albany and Binghamton; three hours from the New York Metro area; and about a two and a half hour drive from Syracuse.
From western New York take the New York State Thruway (I-90) to Syracuse; Route 81 south to Exit 8, Whitney Point; Route 206 to Walton; Route 10 to Delhi
From Albany, take New York State Thruway (I-90) to exit 25A; I-88 to Richmondville; Route 10 to Delhi
From Binghamton, take I-88 to Bainbridge; Route 206 to Walton; Route 10 to Delhi
From New York Metro Area, take New York State Thruway (I-90) to Exit 19, Kingston; Route 28 to Delhi.
How many students attend SUNY Delhi? top
Total enrollment for the fall semester is approximately 2600 students. Of those 2600 students 65% live on campus in one of our six residence halls.
Is there any transportation to and from SUNY Delhi? top
There is local transportation to and from Delhi through the Trailways bus system. These buses are available from New York City, Utica, and Oneonta to Delhi, with connections across the state at each point.
Is there a deadline for application? top
The application process at SUNY Delhi is based on a rolling admissions process meaning that we will accept applications until the programs are filled. You may apply as early as you would like. The admissions staff will make decisions regarding applicants for the Spring semester beginning October, 1. Applicants for admission for the Fall semester will be reviewed beginning November, 1. Students may apply by sending in their completed SUNY application to the Application Processing Center or apply on-line using the SUNY application.

Incoming freshman and transfer students can have their high school, college, and GED transcripts sent to the following address:
SUNY Delhi Enrollment Services Office 2 Main Street Delhi, NY 13753 Are ACT and or/ SAT scores required for admission? ACT and SAT tests scores are not required for admission to SUNY Delhi, but a strong ACT or SAT score can positively influence an application.
What else do I need to submit in addition to my application? top
Incoming freshman should have their guidance office send in their high school transcripts with the most current information. Incoming transfer students should send final high school transcripts along with final college transcripts from each institution that you previously attended. Students with GED's should send a coy of their GED scores and diploma.
What are the residence halls like? top
SUNY Delhi has 6 residence halls from which to choose, and guess what...laundry is free! To find residence hall descriptions as well as more FAQ's specifically tailored to residence life go to the Residence Life homepage.
Are there internet connections in the Residence halls? top
The student internet connections in the residence halls are all wireless. You can purchase the wireless card for your computer at the campus book store. If you need further assistance with configuring the wireless system you can speak to the staff of RESNET.
Are freshmen allowed to have cars on campus? top
YES! Freshmen students are allowed to have cars on campus. To park on campus, you will need to purchase a parking permit ($85) from the University Police Department.
What division sports level do you compete at? top
Our athletic teams are NJCAA division III, and our Golf Program is NAIA which means they can compete at the Division II and III level. You can get a complete list of athletic programs by going to the ATHLETICS homepage.
What athletics are offered? top
Delhi students love sports and support our national-caliber athletic teams. Bronco athletes compete at local and national levels, Division III, in basketball, lacrosse, golf, swimming and diving, tennis, softball, and volleyball. Intramural sports are very popular with Delhi students who want all the fun and exercise our excellent athletic facilities offer without the commitment of intercollegiate sports.

Are there computers available on campus for students to use? top
There is a 250 workstation computer technology center located in Sanford hall for SUNY Delhi students to use 110 hours per week. There are also computers located on the first floor of the library for students to use, and by the way, students can print for free!
What is an ADVANTAGE DAY? top
"Delhi Advantage Days" are set up throughout the course of the year for accepted students to attend. It is required that all accepted students attend an Advantage Day. On these days students set up their first semester course schedule with faculty members, take the mandatory placement test for Math and English, eat in the main dining hall and can meet with various on campus groups and organizations. This is a very important day for parents as well. There will be a financial aid presentation, a parent to student panel, (SUNY Delhi students will be on hand to answer your questions about student life) a small presentation by the faculty members, lunch in our main dining hall, and a tour of our campus.
When are campus tours available? top
Guided campus tours are available daily Monday through Friday while school is in session at the following times:
10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 2:00 p.m.

Do I have to live on campus? top
Only students who live within a 50 mile radius of the campus, are married, are 21 years of age or older prior to October 1 of the academic year in which they enroll, or who are closed out of housing may live off campus. All other students must live on campus. Upperclassmen returning to Delhi after their first year have the option of moving off campus.
Is housing guaranteed? top
Housing is guaranteed to students who have sent in the housing deposit before the deadline listed in their acceptance letter (you can mail a check or call our student accounts office and use a credit card). Complete instructions onhow to enroll are mailed to ccepted students with acceptance letters.

And because Delhi is constantly establishing partnerships with industry in our many fields of study, our students are uniquely qualified for placement in some of today's fastest growing fields.
What is there to do in Delhi? top
A lot! Especially if you like the outdoors. The town of Delhi is located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, which means there are ski resorts, camp grounds, and hiking right near by. Of course, for entertainment within the town of Delhi, the campus of SUNY Delhi is the best place to look. We have over 40 clubs & organizations to get involved with on campus, including fraternities, sororities, drama clubs, photography, the student newspaper, yearbook, and a campus radio station. There's always something fun happening on campus, from headline entertainers like comedian Jay Mohr to popular bands such as Garbage.
How diverse is your student body? top
Delhi is proud to be one of the most diverse campuses for its size within the SUNY system. More than 20% of our student body is made up by students of color; about 40% are from downstate and about half are from virtually every other county in New York state.

What kind of tutorial support do you offer? top
We offer excellent academic support for our students at Delhi. Not only do our faculty keep regular office hours, and some even hold hours in the residence halls but we also have the Resnick Learning Center. Check it out at http://www.delhi.edu/academicservices/.
Can I do an internship? top
Lots of our students participate in internships during their time at Delhi. Some of our programs require them (see course catalog). Our Hospitality students participate in internships at hotels, resorts, and restaurants, and many of them spend time at the Disney school of Hospitality. Many of our other programs include internship opportunities as well, and if you're interested, you should talk to your academic advisor once you've begun your program at Delhi.
What does it cost to attend Delhi? top
For in-state students (those who have had residency in New York state for a minimum of one year) the tuition is currently $4,350. For non-NYS residents, it is $7,000 for an Associate degree, and $10,300 for a Bachelor degree.
When should I apply? top
Delhi has a rolling admissions policy, which means there are no deadlines for applications. However, due to the popularity of our programs, it is suggested that students try to get their applications in by January to ensure the availability of seats in popular programs.
