Pre-screening
Attendance at all sessions for the class is required: no exceptions. Pre -screening the first night includes:

Swim 550 yds. Non-stop swim: 200 yds. of the front crawl (you must demonstrate rhythmic breathing and a sustaining propellant kick). Rhythmic breathing can be performed either by breathing to the side or to the front. 200 yds. of breaststroke using a pull, breathe, kick and glide sequence, and the remaining 150 yds. choice of breaststroke or front crawl. The 150 yds. may be a combination of the front crawl and breaststroke.

Starting in the water, Swim 20 yds., using the front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive and retrieve a 10 lb. brick from a minimum depth of 7' and swim back 20 yds. back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without using a ladder or steps, within 1 minute and 40 seconds.

Swim 5 yds., submerge and retrieve three dive rings placed 5 yds. apart in 4-7 feet of water, resurface and swim 5 yards to the side of the pool.

Starting on Monday March 19, 2012 - May 2, 2012 class size  limited, YOU MUST SIGN UP. NOTE: CLASS MINIMUM OF SIX.

Cost:
$180.00 PAYABLE TO SUNY DELHI POOL. A $45.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED AT REGISTRATION. THE REMAINDER OF THE FEE IS DUE THE SECOND DAY OF CLASS. COURSE OUTLINES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE POOL.

THERE WILL BE A CLASS OFFERED FOR THOSE WHO ARE CURRENTLY CERTIFIED IN WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD TRAINING AND WISH TO RE-CERTIFY. IT WILL BE ON SATURDAY, APRIL 28, 2012. THE RECERT FEE IS $90.00.   IF YOU ARE NOT CERTIFIED YOU ARE ADVISED TO TAKE THE FULL CLASS ONLY. PROOF OF CURRENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. THE RECERT FEE IS $90.00.
