2013 Men's and Women's team both place 3rd at the National Championships!

Men's and Women's Teams Both Place 5th at National Championships, Esselman Earns All-American
 
Both the men and women placed fifth at the national championships held in Canandaigua, NY.  The women were led by a sixth place individual finish by Kelsey Esselman (Monroe-Woodbury, NY) who earned All-American status for her effort.  The men's team was led by freshman Scott Downing (Ketcham HS) who placed 19th individually.
 

Men and Women Take Second at Region III Championships
 
The women's cross country team ran their best team race of the year to beat Herkimer Community College for the second week in a row to take the runner-up spot at the Region III Championship race.  The team was led once again by Kelsey Esselman (Monroe-Woodbury HS) who ran the Bronco course a full minute faster than she did two weeks ago.  The men were led by All-Region performances from Rob Burnett (Bainbridge-Guilford HS) in fifth, Scott Downing (Ketcham HS) in sixth and John Nolis (Owego FA) in 8th.  Next up for the team is the National Championship meet!

Men and Women Take Second at Mountain Valley Conference Championships
 
The women's cross country team ran their best team race of the year to beat Herkimer Community College for the runner-up spot at the MVC Championships race this weekend.  The five point win was a 14-point swing from the race between Delhi and Herkimer just a week and a half ago.  The team was led by All-Conference performance by Kelsey Esselman (Monroe-Woodbury HS).  Esselman was followed in the top ten by teammates Woodlyn Dorismond (Clara Barton HS) and Deirdre Nolis (Owego Free Academy).  The men were led by all-conference races from Rob Burnett (Bainbridge-Guilford HS) and Scott Downing (Ketcham HS).  They were followed by John Nolis (Owego Free Academy) and Mat Robinson (Oneonta HS).
 
 

 
Burnett Sets Course Record In Win
 
Sophomore Rob Burnett (Bainbridge-Guilford HS) established a course record by winning the individual title at the Bronco Classic.  The record on the old course was held by Burnett's cousin Chris Burnett.  The men's team was 2nd overall, behind Oneonta and well ahead of the other junior colleges.
 
The women were led by freshman Kelsey Esselman (Monroe-Woodbury HS) who was the 8th overall finisher and the second among junior college runners.  The women's team was 3rd overall in the 6 team meet.
 

 
Bronco Cross Country Teams Win Titles at Mount Saint Mary
 
Led by sophomore Rob Burnett (Bainbridge-Guilford HS), the men's cross country team won the Junior College Division of the Mount Saint Mary Invitational.  Even more impressive, they were 2nd overall in the 27 team invitational.  Burnett was followed by Scott Downing (Ketcham HS), Farris Ramada (Mahopac HS), Mat Robinson (Oneonta, HS) and John Nolis (Owego Free Academy).
 
The women were led by Sophomore Kelsey Esselman (Monroe-Woodbury HS).  She was followed by Deirdre Nolis (Owego Free Academy), Woodlyn Dorismond (Clara Barton), Jaliza Tull (Transit Tech) and Meghan Riley (Greenwich HS).  The women also won the Junior College Division.
 
 

 
Bronco Cross Country Teams Have Great Showing at Bard Invitational
 
Freshman Scott Downing (Ketcham HS, NY) led the team for the first time in his collegiate career with an 11th place finish and Rob Burnett (Bainbridge-Guilford HS, NY) and John Nolis (Owego HS, NY) placed in the top 20 out of 173 runners.  The Bronco men placed third as a team at the 27-team invitational.

For the women, Kelsey Esselman (Monroe-Woodbury HS, NY) led the team with a terrific race placing 15th out of 174 runners.  The women's team placed seventh at the invitational as a team.
 

 
Cross Country Teams Show Nice Improvement at Oneonta
 
Sophomore Robbie Burnett (Bainbridge-Guilford HS, NY) led the team for the third week in a row covering the 6-kilometer course in a new personal best time.  The team placed third overall out of five teams and first of two year schools.  The women were led by sophomore Kelsey Esselman (Monroe-Woodbury HS, NY).  The women also placed third as a team.  The team will run next weekend at the Bard Invitational.

Cross Country Teams Compete at LeMoyne
  
Sophomore Robbie Burnett (Bainbridge-Guilford HS, NY) led the men's team with a strong performance.  The women were led by Woodlyn Dorismond (Clara Barton HS, NY).  The team compete next at Oneonta in the Early Bird Invitational
 

 
Bronco Upperclassmen Open Season at Mount Saint Mary College
  
Sophomore Robbie Burnett (Bainbridge-Guilford HS, NY) led the Broncos in their first meet with a first place finish.  Burnett's winning time of 17:49 was nearly a minute faster than the winning time in the same meet last year.  John Nolis (Owego Free Academy, NY), Tyler Angioli (Fonda-Fultonville HS, NY) Corey Lamere (Franklin Academy, NY) and Rich Arcuri (Bay Shore HS, NY) placed 4-7-9-10 respectively to give the Broncos five runners in the top 10.  For the women, Deirdre Nolis (Owego Free Academy, NY) was the top finisher placing 9th.  The Broncos will travel to LeMoyne College on September 6th for their next competition.
