
4/14/09 - Delhi split a doubleheader on the road against Onondaga CC Tuesday, improving their overall record to 3-3 on the season. Delhi won the first game 7-6 in a thriller and lost the second game 11-3.
GAME 1 - Delhi jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning in game 1, thanks to RBI singles from Lani Smith and Stephanie Wickert. From there the Bronco offense went cold, falling to score a run in the next 5 innings and falling behind 6-2 in the process. The Bronco bats came alive in the top of the 7th as 6 of the first 7 batters reached on base hits. Sophomore Ashley Dunn drove in the game winning run with a single up the middle. Freshman Lysandra Tetreault pitched a complete game, allowing only 7 hits and 3 earned runs to earn her 2nd victory.
GAME 2 - Delhi could not keep the momentum from game 1 going in the second game. Freshman infielder Lani Smith kept her hot hitting up, going 3-3 in the game while also scoring 2 runs. Smith was 6-7 with 3 RBI's in the 2 games. Freshman Lysandra Tetreault pitched her 4th complete game of the season, the loss dropped her overall record to 2-2 with 1 save.
4/02/09 - Delhi dropped a doubleheader to regionally ranked Hudson Valley CC on Thursday, losing the two games by scores of 22-9 and 22-4.
GAME 1 - Delhi started strong in Game 1, taking a 4-2 lead after the first inning. The Broncos would stat close thru 4 innings, trailing 11-9. Hudson Valley exploded for 11 runs in the next two innings while Delhi stranded five base runners and added no runs. In defeat Delhi was led by freshman Katelynn Lennon who was 4-4 with 3 RBI's and freshman Stephanie Wickert who was 2-4 with a triple and an RBI. Lysandra Tetreault pitched her second complete game of the season for Delhi.
GAME 2 - The second was all Hudson Valley from the start, as they jumped on the Broncos with a 13 run first inning. Stephanie Wickert continued her hot hitting by going 2-3 with 2 RBI and classmate Lani Smith also added a 2-3 performance with an RBI. Delhi returns to action on April 14th at Onondaga CC.
3/28/09 - The Delhi softball opened their 2009 season on Saturday by sweeping a home doubleheader from Clinton CC, winning the first game 12-8 and holding on to win the second 22-21.
GAME 1 - After Clinton scored 2 runs in the top of the first, Delhi erupted for 11 runs in the bottom of the first inning. Freshman Lysandra Tetreault pitched a complete game in the opener, limiting Clinton to 8 hits and 5 earned runs. She also was 2-4 at the plate with a double and 3 RBI's. Sophomore Christine Dunlop was 2-4 with a run scored and an RBI, while classmate Ashley Dunn was 1-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.
GAME 2 - Delhi again jumped out to an early lead, 9-6 after 2 innings and was able to hold on late. Freshman Lani Smith was 4-4 with a double, HR and 4 RBI. Lysandra Tetreault was 3-5 with a HR and 4 RBI, and she also pitched a total of 4 innings to earn the save. Freshman Cortney Miron was 4-5 with an RBI. Katelynn Lennon pitched 3 innings and picked up her first win.
