Rules and Regulations
Here comes the really boring stuff.  Although rules and regulations may bore you to death, you are still responsible to know them.  So just give us a few more minutes of your time and brush up on the rules and regulations.  Here goes..........

College ID Card

Your magnetically encoded College ID card is your official form of campus identification.  This card must be shown for identification upon request by any college official or member of the College staff.  This card is non-transferable and should be kept in your possession at all times.  If a card is loaned to another person, any member of the College staff may confiscate it for your own protection.  Please take all precautions to safegurad your card.  If you lose your ID card, it should be reported to the CADI Office anytime between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at campus extension 4755, or to any MacDonald Hall cashier at extension 4774.  Stolen ID cards should also be reported to the campus University Police Office at extension 4700.  Once your lost or stolen ID card is reported to CADI, it will be immediately deactivated.  You may obtain a new ID card from the CADI office in Farrell Hall from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at a cost of $15.00.  If the CADI office is closed, a temporary ID card can be obtained from the MacDonald Hall cashier at a cost of $1.00.  Temporary ID cards are good for three (3) days, after which you must purchase a new ID card.  Please note, Federal Trade Commission Red Flag Rules now require you to produce a current photo ID in order to receive your college ID.  For your protection, a valid government issued photo ID must be presented in order to obtain a new or temporary ID (driver's license, etc.).  The College ID card is the property of the College Association and must be returned upon change of student status.

Meal Plan Agreement

It is the purpose, ability and privilege of the College Association at Delhi, Inc. (CADI) to provide dining services to you at SUNY Delhi.  CADI agrees to provide service throughout the semester in accordance with the meal plan you purchased.  Interruption of service beyond the control of CADI shall not constitute breach nor loss under this agreement.  Serving locations and schedules may change without notice.

Students registered as plan participants agree to abide by SUNY Delhi and College Association policy and rules governing conduct.  All governmental regulations pertaining to dining plans offered by CADI, including the NY State Tax Code, shall be considered stipulations of the agreement.  While dining plans offered by the College Associaiton are exempt from NY State Sales Tax, plans are non-transferable and fees associated with any exempt dining plan are non-refundable after the 10th day of scheduled classes, except for withdrawal or dismissal from College.

ALL-YOU-CARE-TO-EAT-MEAL-PLANS

• Students who use the MacDonald Dining Center are allowed the full array of service without limits on “seconds” (except on special dining occasions). We do ask that you take one main entree at a time, and come back for seconds.  Access to any meal in the Dining Center allows you to dine in an all-you-care-to-eat venue.

• "Swipes" refer to the number of meals available with that meal plan in any one-week. The meal week runs from Monday through Sunday. No credits for swipes will be given due to illness or any other circumstance resulting in you missing a swipe.

• Students who use the Farrell Hall Commons and Campus Convenience are offered a meal allowance during special serving periods.

• Bronco Bucks can be used in the Dining Center, Farrell Hall Commons, Treat Street, Library Café or Campus Convenience.  Bronco Bucks balances will be carried over from the Fall to Spring semester provided a meal plan is purchased for the spring semester. Remaining balances at the end of the academic year are non-refundable. Additional amounts of $20 or more may be added at any time. Students who leave SUNY Delhi at the end of the Fall semester are not entitled to a refund of unused Bronco bucks.

Meal Plan Changes - Meal Plan Refund Policy

All students residing in SUNY Delhi residence halls must purchase a dining plan.  Dining plans for non-resident students are optional.  The plans may be cancelled (for non-resident students), reduced or upgraded only during the first 10 days of scheduled classes by visiting www.delhi.edu/reslife . Click the Student Housing Management Access button on the right and follow the directions from there. After the 10-day period, no refunds will be authorized except for approved withdrawals or leaves of absence from the College.

The following refund policy is in compliance with New York State Sales Tax Law, which stipulates that refunds be based solely on passage of time as opposed to the consumption of food (how many days have gone by versus how many meals you have eaten or dollars you have spent).

Special Conditions of Meal Plans

Your specially encoded College ID card identifies you as owner of a dining plan. It must be presented to the cashier every time you eat a meal. The cards are non-transferable and can only be used by the owner. Please do not lend your ID card to anyone or it will be confiscated as a protection to you.

The dining plan week begins on Monday and ends on Sunday.

Alcoholic beverages cannot be consumed in any dining unit. All students must abide by SUNY Delhi and College Association policy and rules governing conduct.

Dress in any dining facility should be comfortable. Shirts and shoes are required at all times.

No animals are allowed in any dining facility.

CADI cannot be held responsible for personal belongings left in any dining area.

"Borrowing" silverware, glasses, china and trays is not allowed.

The College Association may adopt such reasonable rules and regulations relating to the operation of its facilities as it deems appropriate to assure the health, safety and well-being of its customers and employees.

Attention Students with restricted or special diets:

In planning our menus, CADI incorporates as much diversity as possible, taking into account our varied student population.  That might not be enough for some students with more restrictive dietary requirements, and under those circumstances, CADI is glad to accommodate a medically prescribed special diet.  Before we can do that, however, you must communicate with us.

For CADI to recognize medical nutrition needs, the student must first:

Provide a licensed medical provider's prescription stating the diagnosis and the specific diet needed to accommodate the diagnosis.  This information will be required at the beginning of every semester and will be held with strick confidence while the student is enrolled at SUNY Delhi.

Set up an appointment with the MacDonald Hall Dining Manager (607-746-4771) to review our current menus and determine which menu items conform to the prescribed diet.  It is appropriate to read labels and ask about preparation methods in your discussions.  If special arrangements are required, the student will be introduced to CADI dining managers and staff who will assist with your special needs.  You are encouraged to communicate freely with all CADI foodservice personnel to facilitate the process.  After arrangements are made and put in place, if you do not use these accommodations for three (3) consecutive days without prior notice, this service will be suspended until you contact the Dining Hall Manager.  Meet with the MacDonald Hall Dining Manager at the beginning of every semester to review the information.  The student is also responsible for keeping the information current throughout the semester.  Inform the MacDonald Hall Dining Manager of your campus address, home address, e-mail and phone  number(s) where you can be reached.
