DuBois Hall is named after the second President of SUNY Delhi, who served from 1917 to 1929, and it is pronounced "doo-boys." DuBois Hall houses 235 students in an L-shaped building. Student rooms are located along both sides of long corridor hallways. Each floor has a large common bathroom and shower facilities with laundry facilities located in the basement. DuBois Hall hosts three Special Interest Areas, including the Veterinary Science Technology Living Learning Environment, the Nursing Interest Floor, and the 24 Hour Quiet Hours Area.
The main lobby hosts the Resident Assistants' office and Residence Hall Director's offices. Resident Assistants are in their office in the evenings and the Residence Hall Director is in during the day on weekdays.
Like other residence hall lounges, DuBois has a large flat screen TV, couches, study tables, ping pong table, foosball table and a pool table.
Quiet Study Room
On the third floor, there is a private study room within the 24 Hour Quiet Hours area of the building. This room provides residents an ideal space for group or individual study. Residents of DuBois may sign out a key to access this space in the evening hours.
Special Interest Areas
24 Hour Quiet Hours Area: This area encompasses the entire female wing of DuBois Hall and provides an environment that best promotes study, rest, and relaxation.
Nursing Majors Interest Area: The third floor of the female wing hosts the Nursing Majors Interest Area. This provides a space where students in SUNY Delhi's demanding Nursing Program can live and learn together within the 24 Hours Quiet Hours Area of DuBois Hall.
Veterinary Science Technology Living Learning Environment: This unique environment is primarily for first-year Veterinary Science Technology students. The area offers first year students assistance from second-year VetSci Peer Mentors and Resident Assistants who are academically successful. Click here for more information.
