In the Residence Halls

The residence halls host many programs and activities sponsored by the Resident Assistant staff and the Residence Hall Student Association. Each Resident Assistant is responsible for sponsoring a wide range of social and educational programs. These may include workshops, trips, and social activities. Examples of regular programs include trips to Cooperstown, snow tubing trips, video game and pool tournaments, movie nights, and horseback riding.

Each residential student pays a $20 annual Social Fee that helps to support the wide range of activities sponsored by the Department of Residence Life. A majority of students participate in many of these activities.

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the student association for and comprised of all residential students. This organization provides important leadership opportunities for students. RHA organizes many events such as karoake nights and trips to to Albany and amusement parks.

The RHA is funded through the student activity fee and is one of the many organizations overseen by the Student Government. RHA also sponsors a partnership with Residence Hall Linens, a company that provides linens specifically designed for the college environment.
