Career Planning An Educational Investment Today And Tomorrow

Dear Family Member:Kristin DeForest: Career Counselor

Thank you for taking a few minutes to learn about Career Services at SUNY Delhi and to understand the comprehensive career planning services available to students and alumni.

The career planning process involves multiple stages that range from selecting a major to finding full-time employment. Many students discover that they are unsure of how to best approach these various stages. Professional assistance can be extremely beneficial and is available as a free resource to your SUNY Delhi student throughout their college career and beyond as an alumnus.

Perhaps your student is undecided about his/her major or career plans? Or, has your student selected a career path but worries that he/she might not enjoy it once in the field? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you might want to suggest that your student stop by Career Services and talk with a career counselor. We're located in the Resnick Library & Learning Center, Bush Hall Second Floor.

For Parents: What is Career Cruising?

Career Services offers individual appointments, special events, programs, workshops and Web resources to guide students through the career planning process. In using our services, individuals learn that career planning is not only manageable but also rewarding. Additionally, they develop career planning skills that can be used over the course of a lifetime.

Should you have any questions about our services, visit us at Career Services for more information or contact us at 607-746-4545. We look forward to working with your student.

Thank you.
