Hello Parents, Family Members and Friends,
Igloo ClubThe weather has remained remarkably mild this semester as we are already preparing for December Commencement. Here is some important information for you and your student for the last weeks of the semester.
Registration for Spring 2016 Semester
Students are preparing to register for classes for next semester. Special registration assistance is available to students Friday, Nov 20, Monday, Nov 23 and Tuesday, Nov 24 from 12:30-1:30. The location depends on your student’s major. Your student can refer to the information sent in their Daily Student Email, displayed on the Digital Screens or speak to their advisor. These sessions are an excellent resource for students navigating the online registration process for the first time. Your student should consider choosing a Service-Learning Course which provides a unique experience for students to put classroom theory into practice during the semester.
Thanksgiving Break
All residence halls close on Wednesday, Nov 25 at 10:00 am. There are no classes scheduled for Wednesday, Nov 25, Thursday, Nov 26 or Friday, Nov 27. Residence halls reopen for all students on Sunday, Nov 29 at 12:00 noon. If your student will be on campus on Wednesday, Nov 25 they can fill out a Boxed Breakfast Request to pick up a meal on Tuesday, Nov 24. Dining Services will reopen MacDonald Dining Center on Sunday, Nov 29 at 1:00pm. Classes resume Monday, Nov 30.
December Commencement
Commencement will take place Friday, Dec 18 at 1:00pm in the Clark Field House. Graduates can order their cap & gown at the Barnes & Noble Campus Store in Farrell Center to be picked up before Friday, Dec 4. Graduates will receive an unlimited number of guest tickets for the event. Please visit the Commencement webpage for more information. If you need overnight accommodations, visit the About the Area page and click the link for Area Accommodations.
Please remember: If your student has sufficient credits to graduate this semester, they are required to complete a Degree Works verification and submit a petition to graduate. Even though the deadline has passed for inclusion in the Commencement Program, students can still submit petitions, participate in the Commencement ceremony and earn their degrees.
January Term Courses
Several classes will be offered online during J-Term, December 21, 2015 – January 15, 2016. This can be a great way for your student to earn extra credits over winter break. Visit the J-Term webpage for a current list of courses offered and registration information. Please note, if your student receives financial aid for J-term, it will reduce their spring aid.
November Bronco Bucks Special
Your student gets $5 FREE in Bronco Bucks when you add $50 to their Bronco Bucks account in November. Add Bronco Bucks through Manage My ID. All you need is your student’s 800#. For more information about Dining Services, visit the CADI Parent Page.

 Dear Parents & Families,
We hope you and your student are doing well as we wrap up the first month of the semester. The fall foliage has been breathtaking and we enjoyed seeing so many of you at Family Day! Be sure to frequently visit the Parent & Families webpage for important information for your students’ success.
Residence Halls Closing for Fall Break – Sat, Oct 10
There are no classes scheduled for Monday, Oct 12 and Tuesday, Oct 13. All residence halls close on Saturday, Oct 10 at 10:00 am. All residence halls reopen on Tuesday, Oct 13 at 12 noon. Students requesting permission to remain on campus should see their Resident Director no later than 3pm on Wednesday, Oct 7.Check the News & Announcements page for Fall Break Reminders and any future announcements. Please refer to the College Calendar for dates and times regarding upcoming academic deadlines and the Thanksgiving and Winter Breaks.
Boxed Breakfast for Students on Sat, Oct 10
Is your student on campus until Saturday morning for Fall Break? CADI to the rescue! Students can sign up for a boxed breakfast they pick up on Fri, Oct 9 from MacDonald Dining Center between 12noon and 9pm. Students should fill out the online form by Wed Oct 7. Any questions can be directed to Megan Munson at 607-746-4779.
Students at TrackMid-Term Grades and Academic Information: A Message from Dr. John S. Nader, Provost
"SUNY Delhi is committed to the success of your student, and we take pride in the high levels of academic achievement attained by many of our students. Our faculty and staff want to be your partner in promoting educational attainment. Therefore, we urge you to regularly visit with your student about his or her academic progress. Students can pick up their mid-term grades from their advisor beginning Monday, Oct 19. Mid-term grades can also be viewed on Bronco Web. Please encourage your student to discuss their grades and course selection for next semester with their academic advisor. Ask them to share their grades with you and encourage them to attend all of their classes. Student success and parental involvement go hand in hand." –Provost Nader

Deadline for Petition for December Graduation – Oct 15
Is your student planning on graduating this December? If yes, they must complete a degree works evaluation and submit a petition to graduate, before Thursday, October 15, 2015. If they miss the October deadline, they are not guaranteed a spot in the commencement brochure. If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar’s Office.
Save the Date for December Commencement: Friday, December 18. 
Session B Classes
Eight week for-credit classes begin Wed, October 21 and run through Fri, December 11. Full-time students may enroll for additional credits, at no additional cost. Seats are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. Students can check out the Session B offerings and pick up registration forms at their academic division office.
Health & Counseling Services – We Are Here for Your Student!
Is your student feeling under the weather? Or perhaps a little sad or stressed? We are here to help. Insurance is NOT required to be seen at our clinic in Foreman Hall and we have both walk-in and scheduled appointments available each day, Monday through Friday. Fall Phonathon
Students will be reaching out to Parents & Families this fall during the College’s annual Phonathon. This is an opportunity to ask one of our helpful students any questions you might have about campus life and to support The Delhi Fund. Your tax-deductible gift benefits student scholarships and other important student services such as Peer Tutoring and Freshman Seminar. Please be generous when you are contacted or go online and "Make a Gift Now."
October Delhi Dollars Special
Add $50 Delhi Dollars to your student's account through and get $5 added for FREE! Delhi Dollars allows your son or daughter to use their ID in any campus dining venue, in campus vending machines, in the Barnes & Noble campus store and at participating off campus businesses. Dear Parents & Families,
We hope you will join us for SUNY Delhi’s Family Day, on Saturday, September 26th. Get ready for “Tropical Fun!” at Delhi’s most popular tradition!
Family Day 2015
You should have already received a mailing which includes Family Day highlights, registration information and other important material. Registration includes the Family Feast, all Saturday activities (except golf), entertainment and shuttle service. If you have not received the mailing, all the necessary information you need is on the Family Day website.

You can register online for both Family Day and the Golf Outing. The online form is secure and payment is easy through PayPal. Please bring a printed copy of your PayPal receipt when you arrive at Family Day Check-In. The Early-Bird Discount for Registration ends on Friday, September 18.

If you plan on staying overnight you can view a list of area accommodations on the Parent & Families webpage. We suggest you make your reservations early.

Dear Parents & Families,

The beginning of the fall 2015 semester is right around the corner with classes beginning on Monday, August 31. Important dates for the semester can be found on the College Calendar webpage. Here is some information we would like to share with you to start the semester off right!
Orientation 2015 - 2Residence Life Move-In Days
* New Student Move-In: Friday, August 28. Move-In Crew volunteers are available to assist you in carrying belongings to your room until 2 pm. Students must check in at or after their appointed time unless otherwise instructed, there is no provision for early arrivals. 
* Returning Student Move-In: Sunday, August 30. Please call Residence Life if you have any questions (607) 746-4630.
* For Housing Assignments & Arrival Times log in to the Housing Management System using your student's ID number and password.
Important Information about Greek Life
It is important to know the differences between recognized fraternities and sororities versus unrecognized and banned ones. Please visit the Greek Life webpage for a recent letter sent to parents regarding important information pertaining to Greek Life. Call the Student Activities Office at (607) 746-4565 with any questions.
CADI Dining Services
The College Association at Delhi, Inc. (CADI) is looking forward to feeding your student in a few short weeks. The deadline for students to change their dining plan is Friday, September 11 at 4 pm, which can be done on the Housing Management System.  If your student lives off campus or in the Riverview Townhouses, you can add a dining plan at this site as well. Visit the CADI Parent page for information on dining services and meal plans. Call (607) 746-4750 with any questions.
Student Employment Opportunities
The College has various jobs for students on campus. We encourage your student to visit the Employment Opportunities webpage frequently for available Student Jobs. Upon being hired, your student will need to fill out employment paperwork including identification for I-9 purposes. Please see the list of acceptable documents on the last page.
Student Health Insurance Waiver
The Student Health Insurance Waiver must be completed ANNUALLY – College policy requires that all full-time students purchase a student accident and health insurance plan unless they can prove they have equivalent coverage. All students are automatically billed $1,425 for the College’s Student Health Insurance plan. To remove the charge, you must complete the Online Waiver as soon as possible, and no later than October 1, 2015. For more information call (607) 746-4690.
Off-Campus Student Addresses
College policy requires any student who lives off-campus, but not at their permanent home address, to provide their off-campus address and telephone number by Friday, September 18. Failure to do so will result in a hold being placed on the student’s record. Forms are located and should be returned to the Registrar or the Office of Student Life, both located in Bush Hall. Forms may also be turned in at the Mandatory Meeting for off-campus students living locally on September 19. Visit the Commuter Student page for more information.
