Dear Parents & Families,
Spring is here! Even though the weather in Delhi has yet to fully cooperate, we continue to make the most of it. Check out the Campus Voice, the campus paper, which has photos from snow art created by students. We would like to take this opportunity to share some information with you regarding upcoming events, and campus deadlines. Always refer to the College Calendar for key dates and academic deadlines.
April 7-Deadline for Housing Deposits & Contracts
Student Financial Services is now accepting housing deposits from current students returning next year until Friday, April 7. Payments can be made at Student Financial Services in Bush Hall, by phone at 607-746-4625, or through BroncoWeb. The next business day after paying the deposit, after 9:30am, students can log onto the Student Housing Management System and complete their housing agreement online. Students must complete this contract within 14 days or before Sunday, April 9, whichever is earlier. Instructions for students on how to complete their housing agreement and what to do for housing selection is available on the Office of Residence Life website.
March 2017All Residence Halls close for Spring Break Saturday, April 8 at 10am and reopen Sunday, April 16 at 12noon. Classes resume on Monday April 17. If your student will be on campus Saturday, April 8, have them sign up for a boxed breakfast before Wednesday, April 5.
May Graduation
Commencement will take place Saturday, May 20 at 10am at the College Track. If the weather cooperates, and the ceremony does take place outside, there are no limits on guests and no tickets are required.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place inside Clark Field House. Graduating students will receive 3 indoor guest tickets when they pick up their caps and gowns from the Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Any additional guests may view the ceremony through a live-feed at another location on campus. For more information about graduation requirements for your student, directions to campus and lodging accommodations, please visit the Commencement webpage.
Career Development Services
Is your student looking for a job or internship opportunity? Encourage them to use Optimal Resume to create professional looking resumes and cover letters. Ask if they are registered with College Central Network, where employers post job and internship opportunities directly to SUNY Delhi students. All these services are available to current students and alumni. To find more information, please visit the Career Development webpage.
Summer & Fall 2017 Class Schedule
The Summer 2017 and Fall 2017 class offerings and information are available for review on the Registrar’s webpage. The Final Exam schedule for Spring 2017 is also available on the same webpage. Students should be sure to review and make note of any ‘Exam Slot Exceptions’ or ‘Classroom Exceptions.’
Scholarship Applications
Scholarship applications are being accepted for 2017-18. We encourage all students to complete a FAFSA to be considered for scholarships that require documented financial need; we also encourage students to complete an essay. The application process is an online process and for most scholarships it is not necessary to apply for a specific named scholarship. Click here for information and the scholarship application.
New Card Management Platform for Dining
CADI is excited to announce GET, a new card management platform that will replace Manage My ID. Funds can be added to your student’s account online by entering their student 800# and adding funds online. As a special bonus, for every $50 in Bronco Bucks or Delhi Dollars you add to your student’s account, they will receive $5 free. This offer will be available until Monday, April 17.
