Hello Parents, Family Members and Friends,
The colder weather is arriving here and we are looking forward to celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday. I would like to share some important information with you and your student for the remaining weeks of the semester and December Commencement.
Registration for Spring 2017 Semester
Students are starting to register for classes
for next semester. Special registration assistance is available to students Thursday, November 17 & Friday, November 18 from 12:30pm-1:30pm.
The location depends on your student’s major. Your student can refer to the information sent in their Daily Student Email, displayed on the Digital Screens or speak to their advisor. These sessions are an excellent resource for students navigating the online registration process for the first time. Your student should consider choosing a Service-Learning Course
which provides a unique experience for students to put classroom theory into practice during the semester.
Thanksgiving Break All residence halls close on Wednesday, November 23 at 10:00 am.
There are no classes scheduled from Wednesday, November 23 through Friday, November 25. Residence halls reopen for all students on Sunday, November 27 at 12:00 noon. Classes resume Monday, November 28.
If your student can’t leave campus until Wednesday, November 23 they can fill out a Boxed Breakfast Request
to pick up a meal on Tuesday, November 22.
December Commencement Commencement will take place Friday, December 16 starting at 1:00pm in the Clark Field House.
Graduates can order their cap & gown at the Barnes & Noble Campus Store
in Farrell Center. Guest tickets are not required for the December Ceremony. Please visit the Commencement
webpage for more information. If you need to make overnight arrangements, visit the About the Area
page and reference the list of area accommodations.
: If your student has sufficient credits to graduate this semester, they are required to complete a Degree Works verification and submit a petition to graduate
. Even though the deadline has passed for inclusion in the Commencement Program, students can still submit petitions, participate in the Commencement ceremony and earn their degrees.
January Term Courses
Several classes will be offered online during J-Term, December 19, 2016 – January 13, 2017. This can be a great way for your student to earn extra credits over winter break. Visit the J-Term webpage
for a current list of courses offered and registration information. Please note, if your student receives financial aid for J-term, it will reduce their spring aid.
November Bronco Bucks Special
Your student gets $5 FREE
in Bronco Bucks when you add $50 to their Bronco Bucks account in November. Add Bronco Bucks through Manage My ID online
. All you need is your student’s 800#. For more information about Dining Services, visit the CADI webpage
Please visit the Parents & Families page frequently to see pictures from recent events, read about SUNY Delhi in the news, and see information being shared with your student. Also, be sure to read the monthly Campus Link Parent Newsletter
. As always, feel free to call the Parent Help Line (607)746-4505 for any further needs. Please refer to the College Calendar
