What information do I need to provide?

Information to include in your helpdesk call...

Error Message:

If an error message displays on your screen include the exact content of the error message in your ticket. (If you call the Help Desk have it displayed on your screen.)

Software Question:

If you have a question about a specific software application that is supported by the Help Desk, have the application in question running on your computer when you call the HelpDesk. If the question can be immediately answered over the phone it will go more quickly if your computer is turned on and the program is running.

General Information to Provide:

(It is only necessary to provide the Information that applies to your situation.)

The more information you can gather before calling or opening a ticket, the faster we will be able to assist you.
