General Password Information

Strong passwords are extremely important in the security battles that every network faces. Hackers are always looking for ways to gain access to computers and networks by figuring out “or cracking” the passwords to user accounts. The easier the password is to guess or crack the easier it is for a hacker to breach our security. The results of this could range anywhere from unauthorized access to confidential student or employee data to deleting files on your computer and crashing mission critical servers.

A well-chosen password is crucial in protecting your account and Delhi’s network from abuse, accidental damage or even malicious attack from hackers. Please take the password requirement seriously. None of us likes having to invent and memorize passwords, but, like locks on your door, passwords are a "necessary evil."
