The Program

Participants of the program would meet once a month to complete a year long curriculum that takes place at various locations throughout Delaware County.

Each session is designed to be participatory in nature and may include:

  • Panel discussions;
  • Guest lecturers to educate, address issues and answer questions pertinent to their field of expertise;
  • Interactive workshops, films, select readings and informative tours of facilities in Delaware County;
  • The study and application of theoretical and practical components of leadership.

The curriculum is designed in such a way as to facilitate leadership development using multiple tools and resources that guide each individual student on a path towards effective leadership.  The course begins with a series of reading and writing assignments and culminates in both individual and group presentations that outline plans for using leadership skills and establishing partnerships in Delaware County.  Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to attend informal networking events to expand contacts with individuals and organizations.  Following the completion of the curriculum, a graduation ceremony is held to introduce Delaware County’s newest leaders to the community.
