Allied Health Student Scholarship

Students must have taken Anatomy and Physiology or Microbiology.  Application deadline is in November.

StraightForward Media's Nursing School Scholarship is intended for students who are entering a Nursing Program at an accredited institution of higher education.

Bureau of Health Professions Nursing Scholarship http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/nursing/scholarship/bulletin.htm#eligibility
The Bureau of Health Professions Nursing Scholarship is available to US citizens or nationals only. The applicant must be enrolled or accepted to be enrolled in an accredited nursing program. This scholarships is a federal scholarship program that requires recipients commit to a minimum of 2 years of full-time clinical service (or an equivalent part-time commitment, as approved by the NSP) at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses after graduation.

Association of Math Teachers of New York State Scholarships

Are you interested in secondary or elementary math education and transferring to a four-year college?  Must have 18 credit hours of Mathematics and GPA 3.25 to apply.

Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence Program

Each scholarship covers eligible expenses for tuition, fees, books, and room and board, up to a maximum of $7,500 annually.  Must contact a faculty for nomination.

NYSMATYC Scholarship Committee
Are you a strong math student?  Ask your professor to nominate you!  Dateline February 10, 2006.

General External Scholarship Opportunities

The Patricia M. McNamara Memorial Scholarship

The Patricia M. McNamara Memorial Scholarship is available to all students who are attending or planning to attend an institute of higher education in. This scholarship applies to all majors. International Students are also welcome to apply.

The College-computer.net Scholarship

The College-computers.net scholarship is available to all students who is enrolled in or planning to enroll in a postsecondary education program. There no GPA requirement for this scholarship.

The Dale E. Fridell Memorial Scholarship

The Dale E. Fridell Memorial Scholarship is available to all students aspiring to attend a post secondary education program. International students are also eligible for this scholarship.  In order to be eligible for this scholarship, students may not have already been receiving or awarded a full-tuition scholarship or waiver from another source.

The Business and Professional Women’s Scholarship

The Business and Professional Women’s Scholarship is open to all female students who are 25 or older. In order to be eligible you must be a US citizen and be enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited program at a United States institution. In order to be eligible you must have a clear career path and demonstrate critical financial need.

The Possible Woman Foundation Scholarship

The Possible Woman Foundation Scholarship is available to woman age 25 or older. You must be studying or planning to study at a US institution.  These scholarships are intended for goal oriented woman. Winners are chosen based on a number of criteria. The primary criteria are financial need and community service.

Math and Science Programs

Coca-Cola Scholarship

This scholarship awards two-year college students who are dedicated to community service and academic excellence.  Contact your faculty for nomination.  Application is due in May.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of Research and Development

Awards students who have earned 45- 60 credits hours and been accepted to a four-year institution.  Applications are submitted electronically.

StraightForward Media's Vocational-Technical School Scholarship

StraightForward Media's Vocational-Technical School Scholarship is intended for students who are entering a vocational or technical field. Students attending a traditional 4-year university or college are not eligible even if program fits into one of the categories.
