Mission Statement

The mission of the Human Resources and Affirmative Action is to foster the growth of SUNY Delhi through superior human resources management and employee services.   This mission is accomplished by:

*    Ensuring SUNY Delhi’s compliance with federal, state and local employment law and with guidelines and procedures promulgated by external regulatory agencies and handling concerns in these areas.

 

*    Delivering prompt, courteous and effective customer service that emphasizes confidentiality, respect and dignity for employees and students.

 

*    Fostering the development of a superior workforce through recruitment, orientation, training, staff development, employee evaluation and follow up.

 

*    Enhancing communications and strengthening relationships across campus through building and maintaining strong and productive relationships with labor unions, with individual employees and with departments and functions.

 

*    Fostering departmental and organizational improvement and helping employees be happier in their work through actively listening to internal and external constituents’ concerns.

 

*    Providing efficient, accurate and timely employee services.

 

*    Providing management information to assist in strategic planning and decision making.

 

*    Constantly striving to improve the quality of department functions, to maintain currency and to plan for and advance department and college objectives.
