SUNY DELHI PRESIDENT VANCKO SELECTED
TO SUNY CHANCELLOR SEARCH COMMITTEE
ALBANY, NY … SUNY Delhi President Candace S. Vancko has been named to the committee charged with conducting a search for a permanent chancellor for the State University system. Chancellor John R. Ryan stepped down from the post last May. Dr. John B. Clark currently serves as interim chancellor.
The committee, which serves on a voluntary basis, is comprised of a cross section of the larger SUNY community and includes college and university presidents, students, faculty, trustees and alumni. The committee will conclude its work by recommending to the SUNY Board of Trustees a short list of finalists. The board will consider the finalists and then vote in public session to name the next SUNY chancellor.
“It is a distinct honor to represent SUNY Delhi and the Colleges of Technology on the search committee,” said President Vancko. “This is a unique professional opportunity to work with my colleagues to help identify the next leader of the SUNY system.”
