SUNY Delhi Men's Basketball Ranked Number One in the Nation

DELHI, NY … SUNY Delhi Men's Basketball remains number one in the 12th week of the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball poll.  The team has its sights on the 2006 Championship to be held March 16, 17, 18 in the Floyd L. Maines Arena at SUNY Delhi.

The Broncos’ intense defense, only allowing 61.4 ppg, is ranked third in the nation.  Leading the Broncos to the nation's 33rd ranked offense are guard Andy Genao (17.8 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 4.1 apg), guard Mike Watson (7.8 ppg, 6.3 apg), guard Jonathan Chadwick-Meyers (10.4 ppg) and center Brandon Lawley (11.5 ppg, 8.1 rpg).

Andy Genao was named Region 3 and Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year. He was also named first team All Region and All Conference. Mike Watson was also named first team All Region and second team All Conference and Brandon Lawley was named second team All Region and second team All Conference. Coach Mike Spitso was named Region and Conference Coach of the Year.
