ContentSUNY DELHI HOSTS AN EVENING OF INTERNATIONAL FOODS, HERITAGE AND CULTURAL TOURISMDELHI, NY … SUNY Delhi’s Multi-Cultural Club, Association of Travel Executives, and Escoffier Club present “Sample the World: A Program of International Foods, Heritage and Cultural Tourism” on Wednesday, March 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Alumni Hall Hospitality Center. The public is invited to sample international foods and dishes representing the many cultures that make up the diverse student population at SUNY Delhi. The evening will include a variety of displays, exhibits and travel information, featuring the home countries of Delhi students. The following countries will be represented: Japan, Dominican Republic, Israel, Jamaica, Poland, Italy, Liberia, Scotland, and Eastern Europe. Doors open at 5 p.m. for participants to view the heritage and cultural displays and to sample the food presentations. At 7 p.m. keynote speaker Joyce Brooks will offer insight into unique places to visit. Brooks is the author of Around the World in the Middle Seat: How I Saw the World (and Survived!) as a Group Travel Leader. She has led groups to over 100 countries on more than 200 tours. Her second book, Seven before Seventy: One Woman’s Quest for the Seven Continents, continues her travel saga. A limited number of tickets are available.
