New Director of Business and Community Services Announced at SUNY Delhi

December 22 , 2006 , Delhi, N.Y. …SUNY Delhi has announced that Glenda V. Roberts of Sidney has been appointed Director of Business and Community Services.

Ms. Roberts will oversee the college’s Business and Community Services, which provides training to business and community organizations and supports workforce and economic development. She will also manage the college’s camps and conference programs.

Roberts has over 10 years experience in developing, delivering and monitoring training programs to diverse populations, covering wide geographic areas. She has provided training to At-A-Glance in Sidney and the Afton Consortium of Schools on a consultant basis. She has developed technical training programs for Granite Capital Holdings, a corporation that includes Mirabito, a local energy leader; Quickway Stores, a convenience store chain with more than 50 locations; and Mang Insurance Agency. Previously, Ms. Roberts worked as an on-the-job training specialist for the Office of Employment and Training in Sidney.

Ms. Roberts holds a B.S. in Business Administration-Human Resource Management from Empire State College, SUNY. She is a member of the Sidney Rotary Club/Community Foundation and the Sidney Area Hospital Foundation. Ms. Roberts also serves on Tri Town Area Relay for Life planning team.
