January 01 , 2007 , Delhi, N.Y. … SUNY Delhi’s culinary team won the American Culinary Federation’s New York State Junior Hot Food Championship at Erie Community College on Saturday, February 3, making this the seventh year for Delhi to earn this title in the last eight years. SUNY Delhi Hosts its 17th NJCAA Men's Basketball Championship
March 12 , 2007 , Delhi, N.Y. … Tickets are now on sale for the 2007 NJCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship March 15, 16, 17 in the Floyd L. Maines Arena, Clark Field House, on the SUNY Delhi campus. In its 17th consecutive year, the tournament has been held at SUNY Delhi under the sponsorship of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. Game times are 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m. each day. The tournament will culminate with the national title game set for Saturday, March 17, at 8 p.m. Read the full story

SUNY Delhi Students Receive Top Honors at New York State Skills USA Competition
April 23 , 2007 , Delhi, N.Y. … SUNY Delhi students ranked among the top competitors in three categories at the New York State Skills-USA Post-Secondary competition at SUNY Alfred in Wellsville on Saturday, March 31. SUNY Delhi electrical students took the top three medals in the residential wiring contest. Bryce Talbert, an electrical construction/controls major from Oneonta, won his second consecutive residential wiring title. Chris Martin of Marcy and Mike Naccarato of Kingston, freshmen enrolled in SUNY Delhi’s electrical construction program, placed second and third respectively in Saturday’s competition. SUNY Delhi Announces New Scholarship For January Transfer Students
January 06 , 2007 , Delhi, N.Y. … Students who are looking to transfer to SUNY Delhi this January will have the opportunity to apply for the college’s new Delhi January Transfer Scholarship. Students who have enrolled for at least one semester (or the equivalent of 15 semester hours) at an accredited college or university may receive a scholarship to attend SUNY Delhi worth up to $1,500. SUNY Delhi First to Offer Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Completely Online in New York State
July 18 , 2007 , Delhi, N.Y. … SUNY Delhi is poised to become the first college in New York State to offer a bachelor’s degree in nursing completely online. The college received approval from the State University of New York system and is awaiting approval from the New York State Education Department to offer an online BSN program beginning January 2008. According to Dr. Mary Pat Lewis, SUNY Delhi nursing department chair, there are no other institutions within New York State that offer an upper division RN to BSN program completely online. SUNY Delhi Students Reach Out to Colchester Flood Victims
December 06 , 2007 , Delhi, N.Y. ..SUNY Delhi students are making this holiday season a little brighter for those who suffered in the Town of Colchester from this summer’s flooding. Student groups are working together to raise funds that will help families in the area recover from the devastation. The SUNY Delhi fraternity Tau Delta Chi (TDX) is taking the lead on the fundraising through the O’Connor Center for Community Service. SUNY Delhi's “Delaware Holiday” Tops Gingerbread House Competition
December 11 , 2007 , Delhi, N.Y. … SUNY Delhi culinary students won the grand prize at the fifth annual “Gingerbread on Broadway” competition hosted by the New York Marriott Marquis on December 4. Seven East Coast culinary schools contended to win a four-night, five-day externship at the New York Marriott Marquis. SUNY Delhi won the grand prize for their entry, “Delaware Holiday.” In addition to the externship, the Delhi team won a $100 Marriott gift certificate and a cookbook. Read the full story
SUNY Delhi Partners with Ibew to Offer Electrical Construction Degree
December 21 , 2007 , Delhi, N.Y. … SUNY Delhi and IBEW Local 236, the Tri-City Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee of Latham, NY, have partnered to offer an associate degree in Electrical Construction and Instrumentation to journeymen electricians. Recognizing the five-year electrical apprenticeship is equal to what is taught in the traditional college setting, the partnership between SUNY Delhi and IBEW makes it possible for a journeyman electrician to obtain an associate degree, thereby opening up future employment possibilities.
