Federal Work Study Program (FWS)
SUNY Delhi employs over 150 students in the Federal Work Study (FWS) program. Students are paid for work on and off campus, for an average of 7-10 hours per week.
SUNY Delhi's 60 different degree programs provide diverse employment opportunities for our students. Work Study students are employed in our library, academic computing labs, the pool, veterinarian science department, at the golf course, various clerical positions, and much more.
The federal government provides SUNY Delhi with a certain amount of Federal Work Study funds each year; when all funds have been awarded, no additional Work Study awards can be made for that year.
To be considered for Work Study you must file a FAFSA, answer yes to the question on the FAFSA that asks if you are interested in student employment, and be financially and academically eligible. Returning students must have an overall and a term GPA of 2.0 to be eligible for their work study award for the following semester. If you are awarded Work Study, it will be listed on your financial aid award notice.
Career Services Office
Many other employment opportunities are available on campus for students who do not qualify for Work Study funds. Information is available in the Career Services Office on the 2nd floor of Bush Hall.
