Delhi College Senate Minutes

December 10, 2007

Meeting called to order by Presider, Julee Miller

Quorum established at 4:19 p.m.

Present: Senators: Kathryn DeZur, Terry Hamblin, Donna Dougherty, Mike Spisto, Mary Wake, Jack Tessier, Joan Erickson, Steve Dixon, Douglas Dune, Carolyn Tolley, Ursula Herz, Sean Babcock, Kim MacLeod, Marsha Stock

Absent:  Linnea Goodwin Burwood, Robert Fisher, Leslie Mokay, John Taylor, Linda Weinberg, Kathleen Ogborn, Jeff Stedman, Lori Osterhoudt

The minutes from the November 11th, 2007 meeting were approved.

The minutes from the November 26th, 2007 meeting were approved with the revision to the New Program section of the President’s Report that removes the “BBA in Business Technology will start in May”.

Curriculum Committee

  • Agenda provided list of proposals. 
  • Discussion provided highlights of each change. 
  • Motion to accept all proposals.

Liberal Arts & Science

Add a new course ALHT 300/BIOL 300 Pathophysiology 

This proposal was approved with the change to ALHT 300, dropping the BIOL 300.  In CAPP it will be classified as LAUP.

Technology

Change the graduation requirements for the Cabinetmaking Certificate and the second year Cabinetmaking option for the AOS degree

This proposal was approved, changing the graduation requirements for the Cabinet Making Certificate from 33 to 32, and the second year Woodworking/Cabinet Making AOS from 65 to 64 credits.  The change is the technical elective from three to two credits.

  • The motion was seconded and approved with one abstention.

  •             January 28th
  •             February 11th
  •             March 10th and 24th
  •             April 14th and 28th
  •             May 12th
  •             June 9th (TBD)

The meeting was adjourned at 4:31 p.m.
