Procedure for the Cancellation of Classes
Only the Governor can close the college. If all classes are cancelled by President Vancko, students will be notified via student email. Faculty members have been asked to change their voice mail messages, if they have to cancel class due to weather conditions, or for other reasons. Students should NOT call the college switchboard to find out if a class has been cancelled. Call your individual faculty members and listen to their voice mail message.

Extraordinary Weather Conditions
SUNY Delhi, as with other State agencies, can be closed only by the Governor. Local government officials, police and radio and television stations and campus officials have no authority to close State offices or facilities. If weather conditions warrant, the President of the College is authorized to cancel classes. The following media will also be notified about conditions that affect the normal operations:

Radio Stations
WDHI (100.3 FM)
WDLA (92.1 FM/1270 AM)
WDOS (730 AM)
WSRK (103.9 FM),
WSKG Oneonta/Cooperstown (91.7 FM)
WSKG Binghamton (89.3 FM).

Television Stations

Binghamton (CBS Channel 12)

Members of the campus community who have signed up for NY Alert will also directly receive notification of cancellation of classes through that system.

At times, Faculty may cancel an individual class. If you have any questions about a scheduled class, please call your faculty member's office. They have been advised to leave a voice mail message if there is a change in the class schedule.
