If you answered yes, then a career in Horticulture, the art and science of working with ornamental plants, may be for you. Our students receive a practical, hands-on education guided by caring professors. Program internships provide a fulfilling and rewarding experience. Our graduates work in greenhouses, estates, botanical gardens, arboretums, zoos and historical sites, as well as for private businesses throughout the world.
The Horticulture program gives you a broad overview of the horticulture field. Practical experience is gained in growing and nurturing greenhouse crops. This program also has the flexibility to permit you to transfer upon graduation to a four-year college program in Horticulture.
The Horticulture Program is an excellent choice if you plan to start a retail nursery or greenhouse operation, become a professional gardener or an estate caretaker, pursue an advanced degree, or if you simply have a personal interest in the study.
