The mission of SUNY Delhi is:

Founded in 1913, SUNY Delhi has experienced tremendous growth over the past decade, reaching a record enrollment of over 3,600 students. Delhi is carving a unique niche in higher education by offering baccalaureate degrees that build on successful associate degree programs, baccalaureate completion programs on community college campuses and online degree programs tied to state and national employment needs.
Delhi is known for its commitment to providing a student-centered, residential collegiate experience that focuses on academic excellence, innovation and experiential learning. It consistently ranks among the leading Baccalaureate Colleges in the North, according to the U.S. News and World Report Guide to America's Best Colleges, and several academic programs have earned state and national reputations for excellence.
Delhi is among an elite group of colleges nation-wide to earn the prestigious Carnegie Foundation Elective Community Engagement Classification. The O'Connor Center for Community Engagement has been named to the President's National Honor Role for Community Service for nine consecutive years.
SUNY Delhi is located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains; the campus is approximately 3.5 hours from New York City and less than 2 hours from the state capital of Albany. The campus consists of 625 acres with 44 buildings, including 6 residence halls and a townhouse apartment complex. The college also features an 18-hole golf course.
Students may pursue Delhi degrees in select programs at Schenectady County Community College, Tompkins Cortland Community College, Onondaga Community College, Nassau Community College and Suffolk Community College, as well as online.
Associate in Arts, Associate in Applied Science, Associate Science, Associate in Occupational Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Science in Nursing Education.
Delhi students represent virtually every county in New York State. The fastest growing segment of the student body comes from the Mid-Hudson region and nearly 25 percent of students come from Metropolitan New York and Long Island. Delhi's student body also reflects the diversity of New York State's population. Students of color account for approximately 35% of the residential student population.
With a ratio of 19 students for every faculty member, learning takes place in an environment focused on the needs and aspirations of individual students.
The Division of Student Life provides a wide range of educational, social and recreational programs and support services that foster a rich and engaging living and learning environment, facilitate the overall development of each student and enhance the sense of campus community. Delhi students can choose from over 50 clubs and 20 intercollegiate sports.
Approximately 65% of students choose to live on campus. A special feature is a Living Learning environment for Veterinary Science Technology students that features special services and activities designed to support student success
The College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104-2680, 267-284-5000, Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. Several academic programs have specialized accreditations including American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), American Culinary Federation (ACF), American Design Drafting Association (ADDA), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), and National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (ACEN).
