The NRRS program offers the following concentrations:

Adventure Recreation

The first degree of its kind in the SUNY system, the 2-year Adventure Recreation program is designed to incorporate all of the programming skills necessary to develop and operate a challenging and inviting adventure program. Park and Outdoor Recreation

This 2-year associates degree is designed to meet a variety of educational goals, preparing you for many different positions. Through chosen electives, you can focus your studies on work environments such as state, local, and national park systems; municipal recreation; quasi-public recreation; or commercial recreation. You also have the option to concentrate in Forest Technology or Environmental Science and Forestry. Physical Education Studies

This associate in science degree prepares you for either an immediate career in sports and recreation-related fields or for transfer to baccalaureate programs in physical education. The primary intent is to prepare you for transfer to baccalaureate programs in physical-education-related endeavors such as teaching, athletic training, exercise science, sports management, or coaching. Learn more >

Recreation and Sports Management

The Recreation and Sports Management program is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in sports, recreation, and physical education outside of teaching.
