Academic Exploration Program

The Academic Exploration Program takes a holistic approach with students who have yet to select a major. The goal is to provide academic, career, and personal support to adjust and transition to SUNY Delhi. Programming will include classes and workshops about college life, time management, financial literacy, academic interests and career exploration, along with individual advising to assist students in the selection of coursework and a major.

Students must select one of seven academic tracks that focus on the various departments/divisions at SUNY Delhi:

• Applied Sciences

• Applied Technologies

• Business

• Hospitality

• Liberal Arts and Sciences

• School of Nursing

• Veterinary Science Technology

These tracks allow the student to explore their academic interests while receiving career information from both faculty and students. Selection of an academic track will be made during SUNY Delhi's Accepted Student Days.  Students will be allowed to change their exploratory track as they progress through their first year. A major must be selected within one year of enrolling or after earning 32 credits.
