Kirsty Digger, DNS, RN, CEN
Dr. Digger has been teaching full time with the SUNY system for the past ten years. She joined SUNY Delhi in 2011. She has taught nursing in on-ground, blended and online programs. Her clinical background spans medical-surgical nursing to staff development, but emergency nursing is where she has spent the most years. She is a certified emergency nurse and maintains current clinical practice.
Dr. Digger holds two Bachelor degrees from East Stroudsburg University, PA – one in Nursing, and one in Education, as well as a Master’s degree in nursing from SUNY New Paltz. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Science from the Sage Colleges and is currently working toward a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Dr. Digger’s research interests lie in technology and integration of technology into teaching and learning environments. She has presented at workshops and conferences throughout the eastern United States.
Dr. Digger is involved with a variety of professional and volunteer activities within the SUNY Delhi community and beyond. The winter months find her on the ski slopes teaching adaptive skiing to individuals who have disabilities, while in the summer you’ll find her out biking and kayaking.
